Comments: Boulton and McCarthy line up against each other. About ten seconds later they drop the gloves. Boulton grabs McCathy with his left and swings with his right shortly after while McCathy swings his left. It's easy to tell both jerseys are a little loose. Boulton grazed McCarthy with his big shot while McCarthy just missed with his. Boulton then pulled in and kept the punches in short range while McCarthy was trying to open up. After that, McCarthy started to pull away a bit outpunching and outlanding Boulton. McCarthy landed one solid punch not in close that did seem to slow down Boulton. The linesmen jumped in when Boulton started to look like he was just going to hold on and not throw anymore.

Comments: With less then a minute to play, Ray and Melichar drop the gloves in the neutral zone. Quickly they start throwing big punches. Little are landing, perhaps Ray got one in and Melichar a small shot. Melichar was throwing wildly while Ray seemed to be pulling him around at will. With balance being what it was each fell easily. Ray was smiling while being escorted off the ice.

Comments: Good fight, decent length. Both players opened up and threw many punches with a bunch landing. Hordichuk with more. Boulton threw hard shots while Hordichuk threw quick ones, many going over and under in sequence. When Boulton's jersey went above his head, the linesmen stepped in.

Comments: Worrell punches a turtling Jay McKee. Normally, I'd slam Worrell for doing something like this. But, there are 15 seconds left in a game the Panthers are losing at home and Dumont-Brown-Satan were out there. These teams play again Friday, it's message time, you knew Worrell was going after someone to send a message. Well, we all knew with the exception of Lindy Ruff, hence the soft line that was out there. McKee was the guy out there at the time that was proper to go with. Instead, he just got some uppercuts while ducking down the whole time. Other Penalties: Worrell received a roughing, instigator, misconduct and game misconduct. Jay McKee did not receive a fighting major.

Comments: They dance for a while, both trying to get free. Just when it looks as if nothing will happen, Ward gets an arm free and lands a shot to Gratton and they fall to the ice. While down, Ward lands 3 more rights to Gratton, possibly stunning him. As Ward goes to throw another, the refs come in and end it. Other Penalties: Both players received game misconducts.

Comments: Thornton takes a hit from Zhitnik in the corner which puts him to the ice. Thornton, already aggrevated from getting high sticked, punches Zhitnik from behind. Zhitnik falls to the ice and Thornton puches him again. Other Penalties: Thornton received an instigator, misconduct and game misconduct. Alexei Zhitnik did not receive a fighting major.

Comments: McCarthy challenges Boulton in the neutral zone. Boulton agrees and the square-off begins. Boulton starts off swinging four or fve good rights, maybe three landed. Solid shots. McCarthy returns fire with more rights and Boulton eats them and fires back. McCarthy has his left in Boulton's chest and lets go for a nasty punch. Not only did Boulton not fall, he came back with two sweet rights which both seem to have landed. The first was real hard which pushed McCarthy back. They grapple and McCarthy starts raining the short rights. He had Boulton bent over and was throwing at will, but not much damage. Then the linesmen get in there. Good show.

Comments: This was the second time this game these two fought each other. Both throwing right hands freely. Ray rocks McKenna early and McKenna falls down a couple of moments after. Mckenna gets up and continues to exchange rights with Ray. Mckenna's punches looked like they were hitting Ray's shoulder. Nothing seemed to land too hard by either fighter. McKenna threw one that Ray got under and while McKenna was about to throw again, Ray took him down.

Comments: Boulton gives Stock a facewash and the gloves come off. Great, long back and forth toe-to-toe action. Stock had one eye bloodied and the other eye was swelling up when they showed him in the box, fight was more even then the aftermath though. Other Penalties: John Emmons received a roughing.

Comments: Held each other off at arms lengths and threw rights, landing several each. Many shots drew helmet. Ray got a solid looking uppercut in when Langdon let his guard down for a second. Langdon repaid with a solid looking haymaker seconds later. Fight lasted at a while before both fighters got tired and slowed down.

Comments: The two square off at the Buffalo blue line. Simpson starts first and misses his first few, but he's got a good hold of Ray's shirt. Ray throws a couple of his own, missing as well. Reid then gets the jersey over Ray's head and begins to throw shots at Ray's covered head. Simpson throws 5 or 6, but Ray is throwing back (his head still covered). They swing a little and Reid goes back at it and throws about 5 more, all the while Ray is blindly throwing back. Reid definitely landed more than a few. Ray landed a couple, but the fight was dominated by Simpson. Simpson had the ice bag on his hand and Ray had a mouse on his left cheek.

Comments: In the middle of Buffalo's zone, these two drop the gloves and start exchanging punches. Back and forth, back and forth. One problem: no one's connecting. Warrener threw an uppercut, Asham threw one of those punches with the same hand that's holding the jersey. Nothing hit the other guy. It ended when Asham was trying to get his elbow pad off, but it wouldn't budge, so the linesmen came in.

Comments: Ray went after Boughner in a scrappy 3rd period but Boughner didn't seem too interested...so Ray drops the gloves anyways, and starts firing shots at a turtling (but still standing) Boughner. With the PIMs he accumulated, Rob Ray joins the 3000 PIMs club! Congrats Rayzor! Other Penalties: Ray received an instigator, misconduct and game misconduct; Boughner a roughing. Bob Boughner did not receive a fighting major.

Comments: Fight occurs after Tim Connolly is flattened by Sylvain Blouin in the neutral zone. Afinogenov only has one glove off at first, but his helmet is missing. I did not see Afinogenov throw a punch. Gavey tried a few weak shots. They held on for a short amount of time, then fell. Other Penalties: Sylvain Blouin received a charging.

Comments: Boulton sticks Parker and Parker sticks him right back. During the face off they are staring each other down and when the puck drops, the gloves drop and the two square off forever, skating all over the ice with Parker in the boxing stance and Boulton shaking his tightly clenched fists. They come together and boom! Suddenly Parker goes down from a punch that appeears to land on Parkers neck/chin...could be momentum that knocked him down though. Parker gets up and Boulton throws a few more than Parker gets a body shot in when the linesmen step in.

Comments: They're in the corner, both players drop 'em. Mayers gets in some quick shots and then there's a bunch of grappling. As they're grabbing and shoving, Mayers throws a bunch of quick "rabbit" punches while still holding Gratton's jersey. Gratton then gets Mayers hunched over and throws a couple of shots. One looked to be a huge uppercut that put Mayers down. If so, late TKO in what would have been a loss for Gratton. If it didn't hit, then just an ok late showing for Gratton.

Comments: Dwyer gets off the first 3 punches witch appear to miss. Ray then straightens out and the two go toe to toe big time with each man throwing fast and furious. Ray's shots are coming up a tad short however, and Dwyer is landing hard and flush to Ray's chin and then finally to his nose. After the toe to toe exchange, Ray nails Dwyer with a big punch to Dwyer's ear which drops him.

Comments: Ray locks Stock out quick and throws right after right after right. Looks to be a mauling then Stock switches to the left and lands a few. They show a replay from a different angle which shows a lot of Rays rights landing short. He still got off the majority of punches. (longer description coming soon).

Comments: White checks Varada from behind. Warriner doesn't like it much and the two drop the gloves in front of the net while Varada's lying in the corner. A couple of small punches from each while they're both working around the tie-up. Nothing much going on. They fall, and it's over quickly. Retaliation for a dirty hit. Varada gets up shortly after and White's gone for the game. Other Penalties: White received a checking from behind major and game misconduct; Warriner an instigator and a misconduct.

Comments: Retaliation for a cheap hit on Varada 2 nights ago. Right off the face-off they go - White throws six or seven quick rights and lands one on the jaw. Some grappling and Ray lands a few rights. That's it, nothing big.

Comments: Right after the Ray-White fight, off the very next faceoff as soon as the puck is dropped these two go. McKenzie appears to land a decent shot right away that surprised Boulton. Boulton tries to land a right, then Jim throws a few body shots. He then goes upstairs and misses with the momentum taking them down.

Comments: Along the boards Ray goes with Scatchard. Lots of hugging at first, and then the two open up. Seems even at first. Some punches not doing much on each side. Maybe a few from each. Then it's all Ray. Lots of rights connecting, but Scatchard isn't staggered. Scatch bent over, with the two tired, they get separated and that's it. In the meantime, Cummins is trying to get at Boulton. It's a no-go as the refs are tangling up Cummins. Other Penalties: Cummins received a misconduct.

Comments: Quintal starts with a right that misses. Ray misses with a right. Ray connects with a right to the jaw. Ray throws another right that lands on Quintal's back. Another right by Ray lands on Quintal's chest. Quintal comes back with a right to Ray's shoulder. Ray lands two rights to Quital's helmet. Quintal then lands three rights to Ray's chest. They both throw rights that miss. Ray hits Quintal on the shoulder with a right followed by two to the back. Ray lands a right to Quintal's cheek. Quintal landed a right on Ray. Ray hits Quintal with a right to the mouth. Quintal lands a right of his own. They both miss a right. Quintal misses another right and then they both miss again. At the same time: Long square off between Odjick and Boulton. Odjick called on Boulton. Boulton came toward Odjick and they both fell to the ice without throwing a punch. Draw.Other Penalties: Odjick received a roughing and misconduct; Boulton an unsportsmanlike conduct and misconduct.

Comments: The two squared off during a scrum with 4 seconds left to play. They tossed some nice looking rights, both connected, but Cairns eventually outpowered Ray and knocked him down. Other Penalties: Mark Parrish received a roughing.

Comments: It started in the Panther zone, along the boards. They both dropped em, no square-off, with Wiemer lunging in right away. Then they both exchange a few punches with nothing landing. Wiemer then takes control, basically picking punches. After throwing 3 quick shots to the neck/chin area, Weimer throws 2 solid shots, landing on one. They grappled and attempted to keep going, but as they came along the boards the refs came in. Other Penalties: Wiemer received a high-sticking.

Comments: JP Dumont elbows Mayers, who then belts JP with a gloved right, knocking JP into his normal turtled position. Rhett and Gratton make a beeline for Mayers. After they drop em Gratton and Afingenov are both pulling at Mayers from behind. The refs do a good job of clearing them outta there. Mayers throws a right to Warrener's neck. They pull each other around some, then Warrener throws a big right just missing. Mayers throws 3 hard rights to the back of Rhett's neck. Then they both throw at same time - Mayers misses his, while Warrener lands a forearm or elbow to Mayer's jaw, rocking his head back pretty good. Jamal regains himself, throws an over the top right, that rhett blocked. They get tangled and fall. Other Penalties: Warrener received an instigator and a game misconduct; Mayers received a roughing.

Comments: Pronger and Varada are set to go with Pronger looking like he has fire in his eyes. The refs jump in in and grab both guys. Pronger threw maybe 2 uppercuts while it's in the process of being broken up. Other Penalties: Pronger received a roughing.

Comments: They take one look at each other and off come the gloves. Boulton slips to a knee, but gets right back up. Both then throw a simultaneous right and Boulton absolutely smashes him! It's a 1-punch knockdown folks.
