Comments: May starts pushing and shoving with three Flames in front of the Calgary net. Finally Stern drops his gloves and May does the same. May starts things off with two rights that don't land. Stern then starts throwing punches with his left while May sticks with the right. They each throw three punches and none of them, but May's last punch, land. May's right bends Stern over. May throws three more rights to the back of Stern's helmet while he's bent over. Stern then rights himself and stands up straight. As he gets upright May switches hands and they throw simultaneous punches. May's left landing flush and Stern's right coming up short. May then throws two more lefts, each land to the side of Stern's helmet. They start exchanging lefts, maybe four or five a piece, and then May drops to his knees. His shoulder is hurt bad and the linesmen come in.

Comments: Peca hits Bannister behind the net and Ulanov makes a bee-line for him, knocking him down. They get up and drop the gloves. Ulanov lands three before Peca gets his first one in and it's bombs city. Peca lands a good shot and Ulanov lands one that stuns Peca and knocks his helmet off. They trade some rights and then switch. Peca lands three lefts, and one more while Ulanov's helmet and visor are to the side. Ulanov lands a glancing left. Ulanov looks tired at this point. Peca lands a big right to the side of Ulanov's head. Ulanov throws a left to the back of Peca's head. They grapple, turn around and then the linesmen come in. Other Penalties: Peca received an instigator and misconduct.

Odelein controls the majority of the fight, but Barnaby manages to slip most if not all of Odelein's punches. Eventually they both tire and the linesmen come in. Odelein has some words for the Sabres' bench afterwards.

Comments: Right off of a faceoff they drop the gloves and Ray is skating towards Brown, and they're going quickly into a corner. They grab on and Brown immediately throws three rights which land, but have no effect on Ray. Ray then throws a big right that knocks Brown down. Ray throws a couple of shots while being pulled down onto Brown and they wind up on the ice, against the boards.

Comments: It starts in a scrum. Barnaby and Lindsay have a hold of each other and decide to go. As soon as they start wrestling Barnaby loses his balance and falls backward. As he's falling Lindsay tries a right, but it doesn't land. Barnaby gets up, and as Lindsay is trying to land some rights while he's down, Barnaby drags Lindsay down, Barnaby stands up and Lindsay gets up shortly as well. Now that they're both up right they grapple for a while, trying a few rights, but nothing much is landing. Barnaby finally lands a decent right. Lindsay then tries a couple of rights while he's in-close and Barnaby surprised Lindsay by switching to the left, throwing one and catching Lindsay. Lindsay then manages to duck under Barnaby's next left, and then they start spinning pretty fast. During the spin Barnaby attempts a right uppercut, but it doesn't connect. They trade some rights and move in-close and each throw a couple of noogies. Barnaby is yelling for the linesmen to stay out, but they don't listen. They step in and it's over. Other Penalties: David Nemirovsky and Michal Grosek each received a roughing and misconduct; Lindsay a slashing; Brian Skrudland a misconduct.

Comments: Big scrum occurs in front of the penalty boxes and these two separate from the pack and start teeing off on each other with big rights. They throw six each, until Ray drops Webb with the last one. Webb gets right back up, but should've stayed down. As he's getting up Ray is just wailing on him. He stands straight up, and that's when Ray hits him with a right that stuns him, followed by a straight right that drops him back to the ice. Other Penalties: Rich Pilon received a cross checking.

Odgers tries three, with maybe one landing to the back of Ray's head. They grapple and spin a bit. They get situated after Ray misses with a few rights off Odger's shoulder. They start to go toe-to-toe in-close. Ray lands 6-7 punches, one square on Odgers' beak that busts his nose open causes Odgers to back off just a bit. Odgers lands two with only shot possibly getting in. The linemen see the blood on Odgers and step in. Other Penalties: Ray received a slashing.
