By the time the camera gets to them, Laperriere is throwing rights at Sopel, who is covering up. Sopel then starts some lefts which result in a couple landing on the helmet. Both tie up and then Laperriere tries to throw a left hook that misses and causes both to fall to the ice.

Long square off. Langdon grabs on to McCarthy and they hug for quite a while. They each try throwing a few punches, can't get much going and nothing seems to connect. After about a minute of this Langdon tries a few rights, McCarthy a couple of lefts. Sandy may have landed one or two of his lefts, but no real damage done. Fight ends as Sandy gets out of his jersey and the linesman jump in.

Odelein lands 4 light rights and 1 heavy right as Langdon struggles for position. They dance for a solid :20. Langdon pins Odelein against the boards and lands several lefts to Odelein's now helmet-less head. Langdon might have landed a glancing uppercut, but the camera angle was too poor to tell. They hug for a moment and the linesmen rush in. Odelein is bleeding from his left eye and leaves the box for repairs. Chicago announcers believe that Langdon cut Odelin with a headbutt - could not see for confirmation.

With the score 4-1 Langdon decides to go after Peter. Could be a result of Worrell running Bertuzzi and Jovanovski. A long tilt with the classic Langdon style. Landgon threw and landed the better punches. Other Penalties: Stephane Matteau received a tripping.

After Worrell throws a crushing hit, Allen challenges Worrell. Allen drops the gloves and throws one punch to the back of Worrell's head who reluctantly dropped his gloves and obviously didn't want to fight. Other Penalties: Allen received an instigator and misconduct.

Both come together and exchange shoves and wild gloved-punches before the gloves are dropped. Matt opens with a huge right that might have hit the side of Baron's face and helmet. Matt threw about 6 big rights, with a couple looking like they may have connected. Baron throws the last right and misses wildly pulling Johnson down on top of him.

When the camera showed it they were holding each other's jerseys and seemed pretty far apart. Staois only threw 1 punch, maybe, and Bertuzzi threw about 2 that both hit Staois' helmet. The whole fight Bertuzzi had his fist cocked back looking ready to drop a bomb, but Staois was smart and hid his head in Bertuzzi's chest so when Bertuzzi threw it, it hit his helmet. A long "fight" that had 2 punches thrown.

Blouin, on his frist shift of the game, gives Allen a bump in the neutral zone and as they enter the Vancouver zone they have words and then drop the gloves. Both guys immediatley tie each other up and stay that way throughout the fight. Both guys have firm grips on each other's right arms, but they both attempt to throw them anyway and have no luck connected. This fight lasted about a minute with not one punch landing by either player.

Good work by the cameraman as this fight happens behind the play, but they instantly switch to the fight. Langdon throws the first punch, a straight right that may have landed but no damage done. Worrell starts throwing with the rights, maybe 4-5, with one landing. Langdon comes back with another right and then a quick left that landed. Worrell again comes back with 4-5 punches, but nothing landing clean as Langdon is tying his right hand up enough to keep him out of range. Langdon again comes back with 2 rights (one was an uppercut) and another left that was more of a jab, as he still had a handfull of jersey.

While they're passing each other at center ice, they drop the gloves quickly and Shelley throws a quick right while they grab on and drift. While tugging Shelley throws a few more rights, not really doing anything. Langdon's not looking to respond with much and then WIFF, a huge left hook by Langdon that Shelley ducks under. Langdon falls from the momentum, and Shelley falls over him, throwing a few on the way down. Linesmen come in. Langdon was literally laughing after this, patting a linesman on the back or something.

Wilm makes accidental contact with Cloutier and Allen doesn't like it much. When the camera gets to them they both have the gloves off and both are in pretty tight. Niether looked too interested at first, then Allen tried a right that came up short, but then landed a decent left. Wilm countered with 2 rights of his own, one coming up short and one knocking Allen's helmet off. Allen throws a left that catches Wilm right on the chin, but it didn't do damage. While Allen was throwing the left Wilm managed to get his out of his jersey and unload 2 haymakers, one coming up short and the other one landing to the back of the head or neck of Allen. The punches kinda knocked Wilm off balance and Allen throws one more left that knocks an off balance Wilm down and Allen falls on top.

Brad opens up with a couple of short rights which looked to connect, but do little to no damage. Brad then trys switching to his left since Baron is wide open, not much power behind the punches. Baron gets in one decent right at the end.

Major scrum at the end of the game, Ruutu and Stevenson are called for fighting but no "real" punches were thrown, unless they came at the bottom of the 10-man pile. Other Penalties: Ruutu an elbowing; Stevenson an instigator and misconduct; Jason Marshall an elbowing and game misconduct.

Avery is lookin for a fight, he slashes Cooke and it doesn't look like Cooke is looking and Avery throws his gloves off and basically jumps him. He throws 2 or 3 punches that hit that back of Cooke's head. Cooke turtles and the linesmen break it up. Avery threw a few while Cooke was down also. Other Penalties: Avery received a roughing, misconduct and game misconduct. Matt Cooke did not receive a fighting major.

As soon as the puck drops Allen drops the gloves and lunges forward, then the camera goes to the crowd. When they get back to the action they are both tied up by the linesmen and still trying to get at each other. Allen was pissed as two refs had to tackle him as he was still trying to get Simpson, as he was escorted off he was still swearing and trying to get at any other Nashville player. Majors?

Kalinin drops them and grabs on before Ruutu has his gloves off. Ruutu drops them, and Kalinin gets a right in. He has the right cocked, but Warrener jumps in and draws a crowd. Nothing much here, Kalinin threw the only punch. Other Penalties: Rhett Warrner a game misconduct; Kalinin an instigator and misconduct.

They clashed in front of the net and Langdon quickly started throwing them. Montador started off burying his head as he was caught a bit off guard. Langdon teed off on him pretty good. Montador comes back with a couple surprising lefts. He showed some good fight. There was a 10-second section of the fight where the exchanges were pretty even, but then Langdon cleaned him pretty good in the end just like at the beginning.

Richardson throws a few rights that seem to come up short. Langdon and Richardson then throw simultaneous rights, where Langdon connects solidly, and Richardson appears to come up short. Langdon throws two left-handed push-punches that seem to connect fairly well, then they start a brief toe-to-toe exchange where Langdon was getting the better of the it. Other Penalties: Richardson received a roughing; Langdon an instigator and misconduct.

Marchment gives a Vancouver player a knee to knee and Langdon comes over and gets the gloves high, but the refs jump in before anything happened. About 6 seconds after that things settled down and Langdon and March dropped them and once again the refs jumped in, but Langdon was still throwing them between the two linesmen and so was Marchment. Maybe a couple connected from Langdon, but nothing more, the linesmen wouldn't let go of them. Other Penalties: Langdon received an instigator and miscondcut.

Some wrestling at first. Allen tries to throw a right, but Dwyer has his arm tied up. Dwyer misses a big left. They spin and tug some more. Right by Dwyer hits shoulder. Right uppercut by Dwyer may have landed. Dwyer lands a left, Allen comes back with a right. A Dwyer left hits the side of the head. Another left comes up short. Left uppercut by Dwyer, and Allen seems content to hold on as the linesmen break it up. A lot of grabbing and pulling, Dwyer was more active, but didn't land much.

Jovanovski checks Primeau, Primeau doesn't like it and gets the gloves up. Both give the nod and squareoff. They each throw about two and then Jovanovski pulls his head up just at the wrong time and gets nailed by Primeau and goes down. Jovanovski is bleeding and goes right to the dressing room.

Langdon does the right thing and goes after Primeau in order to get Donald to go. Brashear comes in, but seems like he has zero intention of actually fighting. Langdon lands with short punches, that weren't much at all. Brashear responds with three attempted lefts that puts them off-balance and everybody falls down. Other Penalties: Keith Primeau received a roughing; Langdon a double roughing.

May destroys Tkachuk with a borderline late hit shoulder to shoulder. Salvador comes in and gets one in, then gets turned around and May punches him in the back of the head a couple times.

Johnson covers the puck and Low comes in and colides with May. They start in close and Low starts throwing rights hitting mostly helmet. They hold on more and then Low gets his right free. He starts throwing big rights landing 3 or 4 and then gets in a couple of uppercuts. May tried to turn his head, but Low still landed. Finally May holds on long enough to get the refs in. May was cut around his eye and had a bloody nose. Blood was all over. Other Penalties: Low received a misconduct; Vancouver bench an unsportsmanlike conduct.

Grier starts off with two lefts that miss and then gets another left that connects to the side of Ruutu's head. Ruutu tries to come back and misses with a right. Grier then gets bent over and hits Ruutu with another left as he's bent over. Ruutu then throws a huge right uppercut that puts Grier off balance and falls to the ice seconds later. Grier had a bloody nose after.

Lappy lays a big hit on Allen and waits for him to get up to issue the challenge. They drop 'em and for the first half of the fight Allen plays defensive and just hangs on while Lappy lands a few nothing shots. Allen finally opens up and lands one or two and that's about it.
