| Comments: In a blowout game, Boulton catched Lindros with a big hit and Domi skates in and throws a gloved punch at Boulton to protect his concussion-prone linemate. Exelby grabs Domi from behind allowing Boulton to unloads five heavy rights on Domi who can't defend himself. At this point, all the players pile in and the linesmen break this up. Lindros ends up on top of Exelby, but when they get up, they break away from the main scrum. Exelby wants to swing, but Lindros holds on and doesn't look interested. Exelby may have connected with some soft punches, but held up since Lindros was trying to talk him out of it. Meanwhile, Boulton gets ejected for pushing a linesman who is trying to separate him from the crowd. Wade Belak manages to get a few shots in at Boulton when he's down, after which Belak challenges the Thrashers bench. Other Penalties: Domi received an instigator and misconduct; Boulton an elbowing and game misconduct; Ron Petrovicky a double roughing; Wade Belak a roughing and misconduct. | ||||

They grapple a bit more before Orr switches to the left. He throws a few, but misses with all. They both start landing a few rights then return to grappling which brings the linesmen in. Belak sneaks a right in as Orr is being restrained. Belak skated away bleeding from his nose, and wore a full shield in the second period, most likely due to a broken nose. | ||||

Boulton shakes off his elbow pad and throws a couple of short rights. They spin around as Belak throws a couple of rights. Boulton comes back with a locked out right of his own. They tie up again as Boulton gets his arm loose and lands about 9-10 rights to the back of Belak's head, a mix of long and short punches that knock Belak's helmet off in the process. Boulton throws a couple of more short rights over the top as Belak throws a right that causes both players to lose their balance and fall half way to the ice for a moment. They get up and Boulton throws two rights to the back of Belak's head before the linesmen intervene. | ||||

Janssen throws a right of his own, and they grab on with Tucker trying to work his way out of his sleeve. Janssen now starts throwing some very good occassional rights while Tucker seems to have tired. Janssen catches Tucker with a few good ones of the half dozen or so he throws. Janssen then waives the linesmen off and throws some more rights, one of which really caught Tucker and made him bury his head. At the end they have one more brief exchange with a few more rights from Janssen and Tucker trying to answer with his right and then with a left. Janssen is cut on the left cheek, either from Tucker's first punch or from the helmet. Other Penalties: Tucker received a head butting major. | ||||
