Oct 05, 2001 3pd 06:20 Matt Barnaby NYI Dave Scatchard
Shortly after a faceoff, these two drop the gloves. Scatchard threw and landed some shots. They tie up, and it appears like nothing much more will happen when Scatch lands a pretty hard shot. They tie up again, and the refs come in. Barnaby is yapping like always, but it didn't look like he ever wanted to do any real throwing anyway.

Nov 06, 2001 1pd 01:56 Nolan Pratt @NYI Steve Webb
You know Webb is going to go rock 'em, sock 'em robots if he can. They do and Webb just unleashes on Pratt. Webb throws about seven before Pratt throws one. Webb connects really well with at least one, maybe three. Pratt threw some punches of his own at the end, and connected well with one of his. Other Penalties: Webb received an elbowing; Pratt an instigator and misconduct.

Nov 06, 2001 1pd 11:56 Matt Barnaby @NYI Eric Cairns
The two square off and Cairns just grabs Barnaby and starts throwing hard. Cairns really controls this one. Throws 4 or 5 big punches while Barnaby just holds on. Lands at least 3 semi-cleanly. He punched with one hand and jerked his hand holding Barnaby's jersey back and forth and just had complete control. The last one, a right towards the back of his head sends him down (not in the sense of a knockout, it just powered him down, probably willingly on Barnaby's part). Good showing. Mismatch, but with history there, it was expected.

Nov 27, 2001 3pd 08:06 Gordie Dwyer @BOS Nick Boynton
Lots of non-landing punches with Dwyer starting off quick and Boynton finishing up rather well for a rookie. Not many punches connected, although one of Boynton's did near the end.

Nov 29, 2001 2pd 06:40 Gordie Dwyer ATL Darcy Hordichuk
Hordichuk and Dwyer drop them right off the faceoff and immediately begin throwing. Both fighters are throwing from in close. Not a whole lot of defense as usual. Both fighters land some solid blows. No KO's, no blood, good fight.

Dec 08, 2001 3pd 12:10 Matt Barnaby @OTT Zdeno Chara
Barnaby basically jumped Chara from behind, threw some while Chara stood there hunched over. Barnaby then pulled/pushed him down. Chara didn't drop his gloves. Chara then receives a roughing a couple of minutes later (with Dave Andreychuk). Not impressive by Big Z (especially when he showed heart against Parker on the 6th). Other Penalties: Barnaby received an instigator, misconduct and game misconduct. Zdeno Chara did not receive a fighting major.

Jan 08, 2002 3pd 12:12 Ben Clymer DAL Sami Helenius
They shove behind Dallas' net and Helenius get a left jab in with the gloves on. They both throw their gloves off and Helenius connects with a right to the face. He then throws two more rights that don't connect and then throws another right to the back of the helmet. Clymer is leaning back trying to avoid any punches Sami is now trying to throw. Helenius tries a few more rights that miss or land to the back of the head. Other Penalties: Helenius received a roughing.

Jan 23, 2002 3pd 02:39 Gordie Dwyer @PIT Josef Melichar
Melichar started it. He crosschecked Dwyer in the face, to the left of Hedberg. Dywer and him started to get the gloves to each other and Melichar looked to drop them first. Nothing really happened in the fight though, a lot of wild swinging not much landing. Melichar then went off balance and banged his face off the ice pretty good, he was bleeding pretty good as well. Other Penalties: Dwyer received a roughing; Melichar a high-sticking.

Jan 25, 2002 2pd 08:19 Gordie Dwyer @BUF Rob Ray
Dwyer gets off the first 3 punches witch appear to miss. Ray then straightens out and the two go toe to toe big time with each man throwing fast and furious. Ray's shots are coming up a tad short however, and Dwyer is landing hard and flush to Ray's chin and then finally to his nose. After the toe to toe exchange, Ray nails Dwyer with a big punch to Dwyer's ear which drops him.

Jan 28, 2002 1pd 03:23 Gordie Dwyer @NYR Dale Purinton
Purinton runs a Lightning player. Dwyer immediately goes at Purinton and they both drop them and that is the most exciting part of the fight. They both are in tight and not able to throw anything of significance. Purinton landed some "noogie" shots and they get broken up.

Pretty funny fight. Kubina does not throw a single punch during the bout. Barnaby pulls Kubina's jersey off and lands two big rights near the end of this one-sided "bout".

Feb 06, 2002 3pd 14:32 Vincent Lecavalier @FLA Brad Ference
It starts near the Panther's blue line, after Ference cross-checked Vinny in the back. Vinny turns, drops 'em first, and went after Ference. Lecavalier tied him up pretty well, with Ference throwing 2 or 3 punches, 2 that may have connected with helmet. After some more struggling, Vinny gets off a couple, grazing Ference's helmet with one. Both struggle some more as neither fighter seemed too enthusiastic and they tire. Other Penalties: Lecavalier received an instigator and misconduct.

Feb 07, 2002 1pd 15:07 Ryan Tobler FLA Peter Worrell
Worrell hits Tobler on a medium-stiff check into the side boards near the benches. Worrell turned away, Tobler dropped the mitts first and seemed to land a right to Worrell's face with his first punch. That was the last punch he landed, as Worrell pretty much took over the rest of the fight. Tobler was definitely game though.

Mar 06, 2002 1pd 00:15 Chris Dingman EDM Georges Laraque
15 seconds into the 1st, Dingman looks to endear himself to his new team and goes after Georges. They come together and Dingman is trying to tie Laraque's left up. Unsuccessfully, Laraque gets off about 6 left hand shots, with them landing to the back of Dingman's head. Dingman loses his balance and goes down.

Mar 10, 2002 1pd 02:23 Chris Dingman NAS Reid Simpson
The Camera cuts in and they're in front of the Preds' bench and each have their gloves off and a hold on each others right hand. Simpson throws a right that hits Dingman's shoulder. Dingman throws a right back that comes up short. They start to spin turning about three 360's before coming to a stop. They both throw rights as they stop. Dingman misses, but Simpson connects to the forehead or helmet of Dingman; the right knocks Dingman back and he almost loses his balance, but manages to stay up. They try and get better position again and Simpson throws another right that hits the back of Dingman's helmet. Dingman tries to return the favor, but misses. They fight for position a little more and Dingman throws 4 short soft rights that hit Simpson's helmet. Simpson then throws 2 rights. The first one connects with Dingman's left jaw sending his head for a short trip. The 2nd one hits Dingman's shoulder. They move around some more and Dingman pulls Simpson in close. While they are in close, Simpson attempts 3 rights but he's tied up too good and can't land anything. They tire and the zebras are in to break em up.

Not much of a scrap here. The ultra-long square-off may have been the most exciting part. Dingman threw three overhand rights that all hit helmet. Then they get in real close and exchange some short nothing punches before Dennis got the takedown.

Apr 01, 2002 3pd 10:09 Andre Roy NYR Sandy McCarthy
Andre Roy and Malakhov were about to go when McCarthy came in and started on Roy. Got the jump and landed some decent shots. The rest of the fight was hugging and noogie-ing, but Roy was cut above the left eye. Roy was supremely pissed off and tried to get at McCarthy in the penalty box. He started to slam the glass and everything. He left the box and had to be held back. As he was leaving, he started yapping at the Ranger bench. Barnaby and McKenna were both laughing at him. Other Penalties: Roy received a roughing and double game misconduct; Vladimir Malakhov received a roughing; McCarthy received a misconduct.

If the opponent's team is preceded by a @ symbol, then opponent's team was the home team. Otherwise the Tampa Bay Lightning were the home team.
