Oct 10, 2002 2pd 12:06 Keith Primeau @EDM Steve Staios
Staios intervenes between Brewer and Prims and they go. Both throw half-hearted uppercuts, and now the refs are attempting to grab them. Primeau misses or glances side of Staios' head with a right. Staios missed an uppercut. Prims then hits him in the ear with 2 decent rights while controling with his left. Prims misses two more, then a right to the back of Steve's head and then a weak right to Steve's neck. Staios attempts a right, then an uppercut, but Prims' got good position with his left hand and hits Staios with a light uppercut. Primeau misses with 2 more rights. Staios just misses a good right. Primeau does likewise. Staios appears to land an uppercut, then a good right to prims helmet/temple, a few back of the head by Steve, then another helmet shot. Prims throws two more, but they are too close. Primeau attempts a takedown, but the net keeps them up and the linesmen come in.

Long squareoff. Primeau at first seems a little hesitant, but gets the better of Simon with some heavy right hands. Simon was cut, but everybody is saying he had stitches going in (hit by a puck). He bled all over Primeau.

Starts off with Roenick checking Hamrlik in the corner. Hamrlik didn't like it, they come together by the Islanders' bench and chat some more. Hamrlik drops them and throws one. Roenick gets his gloves off and starts to fire. He throws 4 or 5 and gets Hamrlik's jersey up, which was not tied down. They spin around and fall to the ice. Other Penalties: Hamrlik received a game misconduct.

Oct 31, 2002 3pd 03:19 Mark Recchi PHO Ossi Vaananen
Van runs over Recchi with a questionable hit and the Recching ball goes after the Sheided One. Recchi bumps Vaananen who gives a nasty backhand slash at Recchi's leg. Recchi drops the gloves and looks to land a nice uppercut to Van's face knocking his helmet and sheild off. Rechhi throws two rights that don't land, then lands another nice uppercut. Vaananen (just like in the Wright fight) has no interest in anything but holding on after he looses his protection. He tries to pull Recchi to the ice with 2 handfulls of jersey, finally jumping to the ice to pull Recchi down, making Recchi look like a ghost with his jersey pulled over his head. Then, after the refs have a hold, Vaananen has to be held back from throwing a punch at Recchi.

Oct 31, 2002 3pd 16:49 Donald Brashear PHO Andrei Nazarov
Brash takes a little run at Vaananen and Naz comes flying up and tries to run Brash, who at the last second drops to his knees to avoid it. Brash starts to skate up ice, then decides he's going to answer this challenge. They square off, then Naz goes for a straight right that just grazes the top of Brash's lid. Brash grabs a hold and Naz throws 4 lefts and a right to the side of Brash's head, but they've got nothing on them because Brash is too strong and has a bear hug on Andrei. Nazarov throws a left while Brash throws a short left that may have hit. Brash with a short uppercut, can't tell if it hit. Brash with a left behind Naz's head. Naz then throws another nothing left. Now Brash has him in a double headlock and is trying to get his helmet off, their faces are about an inch apart. Brashear with an overhand left that misses. Nazarov with a left to Brash's temple/cheek. Now Naz has a bear hug on Brash as well, and another nothing left from Naz. Brashear throws a left that's short and Naz just misses a good uppercut. Now they're both literally hugging and Brash tries to pull away. He throws a right that loses its muster as it reaches Nazarov's face. Donald then lands a nice right to Naz's cheek as Naz lands a short left to Brash's face. Pulling Brash downward, Naz misses an overhead left. Now Naz is up against the Yotes' bench and Brashear thows a quick left to Naz's ear. Two more that glance his helmet. Naz tries a left, but nothing. Brashear looked to land another nice, quick, short left. Now Brash's left is free and Naz is going to his knees. Brash throws about 3-4 quick uppercuts, but cant see what hit directly. The linesmen come in and there's blood on the back of Brash's jersey from a cut on Andrei's face.

Starts off the faceoff. Both drop them, they lock up and Brash drops the first shot in then they go toe to toe and lock up again. Brash's helmet is off, and they trade off again. Better shots from Brash. Action slows a bit and Brash gets Peat's helmet off and gets a couple of more shots in clean.

Fedoruk challenges him in the zone. Long squareoff. Looks like the linesmen might come in, and they start chucking. Fedoruk mainly with lefts, Downey with some rights. Both swing wildly, until Fedoruk gets in close and starts landing some uppercuts. Fedoruk misses with some rights and nails Downey with a left cross. Fedoruk lands with another left and they go down.

Jan 02, 2003 1pd 09:51 Todd Fedoruk @LOS Kip Brennan
Brennan drop the gloves at center ice, Fedoruk a bit after. A linesman tries to get in between, but both give him a bit of push to let them go, and a good thing too, this was a good one. Brennan fires the intial rights, landing some, while Fedoruk starts throwing wild lefts. They fall to the ice and get back up without any linesmen jumping in. Both are still chucking them and Fedoruk throws a huge left that connects and drops Brennan.

Jan 02, 2003 2pd 12:19 Donald Brashear @LOS Brad Norton
They were talking during the Brennan-McAllister fight, but waited until the next faceoff. They're shoving while lined up, but the ref tells them to wait until the puck is dropped. Right when it's dropped, so are the gloves. Norton throws a couple of lefts while Brashear pulls Norton in close. Brash has him in tight while landing several lefts. An uppercut looks like it sends Norton down, but he quickly bounces back up. Some more grappling and Norton falls again and the linesmen come in.

Jan 07, 2003 2pd 14:24 Todd Fedoruk BUF Rob Ray
They initially got roughing minors. Immediately after they come out of the box, they drop 'em and go, engaging in a hell of a toe-to-toe exchange with Fedoruk switching hands. Fedoruk lands a huge punch that really looked to stun Ray and was well on his way to a victory, when Ray nailed him with a huge bomb, dropping Fedoruk!

Jan 09, 2003 1pd 02:13 Donald Brashear @NYI Eric Cairns
Along the boards, Cairns checks Brash. He turns around, they give a look and drop the gloves. They take their time, shed the pads, pull up the sleeves, and squareoff. They grab on, Brash pulling in, Cairns pulling away. A punch by Cairns, and then Cairns gets Brash's jersey up over his head. He throws two more, before the linesmen rush in (because of the jersey).

Jan 09, 2003 1pd 02:16 Todd Fedoruk @NYI Eric Godard
Right after the Cairns-Brash fight, they line up against each other. The puck drops, and do the gloves on these two. Pretty open fight. At first Godard tried to get Fedoruk's helmet off, but after some trouble, just started swinging. Godard easily landed more punches in this slug-out, and the better ones. Fedoruk looked pretty beaten up with a cut on his eye. Still a good show.

Jan 25, 2003 2pd 00:57 Eric Desjardins @BOS Joe Thornton
Desjardins cross checks Thornton, and Thornton gives him a shot back. Thornton follows Desjardins up the ice, they get the sticks high and Thornton drops the gloves. He rips the helmet off of Eric, and Desjardins finally drops the gloves. They are both in pretty tight. Thornton throws a bunch of short punches that all connect, and Desjardins doesn't want any of it and the linesman break it up. Desjardins is bleeding right over his eye.

Jan 30, 2003 1pd 08:22 Donald Brashear @NJD Jim McKenzie
This one started after the Devils jumped out to two quick goals. Brashear is just trying to give the Flyers a little life. Brashear pushes McKenzie against the glass and Jim says let's go. They square off and both land some weak punches back and forth. Brashear looked to land at least one good one. Average fight, neither could get loose. Seemed like Brashear was actually trying to open up, while Jim wanted to stay in close.

Brown lands two rights flush to Fedoruk's face. Fedoruk comes back with a couple, including a nice uppercut that lands flush. It seemed like Fedoruk got kind of stunned after Brown's punches, but then they went back and forth in a nice exchange. Fedoruk, running out of gas does down, Brown stops and it's over.

Feb 25, 2003 2pd 09:07 Jeremy Roenick @CHI Mark Bell
Roenick drills Bell in the corner. Bell takes exception and wants to go. Roenick doesn't really want to go but doesn't back down. Bell drops the gloves and then shrugs to Roenick and gives the "are you gonna drop em" look. Roenick drops em and it's a pretty entertaining fight. Not much landing but a wild exchange. Bell rips Roenick's helmet off and it appears to cut Roenick. Roenick may of landed a wild one and Bell lands two good rights. One an uppercut and one a straight right. Roenick grabs onto Bell's leg and tries to take him down. Bell and Roenick are both smiling afterwards.

Feb 27, 2003 3pd 19:53 Jim Vandermeer CHI Ryan VandenBussche
After some grinding in the corner, the puck comes out and Vandenbussche tries to leave, but Jim gives him an extra push. Ryan turns around and off come the gloves. After a brief square off, they come together and Vandenbussche starts with the left and Jimmy with the rights. They trade punches toe to toe for about 10 seconds, then Jimmy lands a solid right to Vandenbussche's noogin, and a follow-up punch lands square and bloodies Ryan V. Vandenbussche goes to the right and Jimmy to the left and they trade toe to toe again for about 8 seconds and then Vandenbussche tires out while Jimmy is smiling. Ryan gives Jim a bit of a facewash as the linesmen break them up.

Mar 01, 2003 1pd 03:19 Jim Vandermeer @BOS P.J. Stock
They square off at center ice and immediately tie each other up. They grapple for a few until Stock gets his right loose and lands a couple of good shots. Vandermeer gets loose too and lands some good lefts countered with more rights by PJ. Stock does a good job of switching up and lands more lefts and rights. Both combatants land great punches in this long battle, but Stock landed more. Vandermeer seemed to have a grin on his face the whole fight, but both players looked pretty beat up afterwards. Stock does his wave and appeared to be bleeding and it looked like he had a small mouse under his eye. Great fight.

Other Penalties: Keith Primeau received a roughing; Langdon a double roughing.

This one didn't take long, about 11 seconds into the game. Right off the faceoff. Short square-off, Brash grabs on and Boulton throws a right to the side of the head. Some hugging, Brash's helmet falls off. Boulton gets the right free and throws a few more, nothing damaging. Brash eventually pulls Boulton's helmet off and tries a few, they land on the top of the head. It opens up a bit, Brash landing a few hard lefts, and Boulton trying to respond with one. Boulton falls, possible TKO/KD for Brash. Boulton comes out of it with a red mark on the right side of his nose.
