Comments: 93 secionds into the first Barnaby challenges Donald at the blueline and Brash accepts. Barnaby starts by lightly landing a couple of short rights while Brash is tossing the lefts. Brash then takes over ragdolling with the right and landing with the left, finally putting Barnaby to the ice. It was the flurry of punches that sent him down, not a single one.

Comments: 16 seconds after the Brash-Barnaby scrap, Oliwa challenges the Fridge. Both are wide open for the first few seconds with no one landing significantly. They then grab on and struggle for positioning. After about 10-15 seconds (and with the refs looking to get in), they both get loose again. Oliwa seems to be more in control here and may have landed an uppercut.

Comments: 10 minutes into the 2nd, Oliwa levels a Flyer from behind. Brashear immediately comes calling and Oliwa obliges. Very little lands as both open up, but Brashear may have gotten few in and had control.

Comments: Fridge hits Lindros and Dale jumps right in. Away they go and no hugging here between friends. Purinton with the early edge, lands a couple of nice rights. Fridge comes back and lands a few of his own. Fridge gets the advantage and Dale looks like he's tiring when back he comes with a few lefts. Fridge weathers it and lands some clean rights. Todd finishes the fight in control. Other Penalties: Purinton received an instigator and misconduct.

Comments: They bump along the boards in the Ranger's end and the gloves come off. Nice fair squareoff and they come together. Toe to toe action, both throwing the lefts repeatedly. Myrhes helmet comes off immediately and the snap on his tie down breaks, so the jersey comes up. Good action here with both landing a few. Dale lands on top for the takedown. Other Penalties: Myrhes received a game misconduct.

Comments: Oliwa threw a glancing blow to the cheek of Brashear and Brashear fell backwards. Oliwa roughed him up while on the ice.

Comments: A pissed off Brashear apparently goes to town on McCarthy with left after left, lumping him up pretty good and sending him to the dressing room. A cut and a cracked helemt were part of the aftermath.

Comments: The only good shot according to Flyers announcers was a left hand bomb by Fedoruk. Oliwa throws him down at the end.

Comments: Radio description: Purinton jumps Brashear from behind and rains down punches while Brash turtles. This causes a line brawl of sorts with the main attraction being Therien and Barnaby. From the sound of it, a very long fight with both landing a couple. Other Penalties: Purinton received an instigator and misconduct; Dave Karpa and Eric Desjardins misconducts; Therien and Barnaby game misconducts. Donald Brashear did not receive a fighting major.
