Comments: Good fight, decent length. Both players opened up and threw many punches with a bunch landing. Hordichuk with more. Boulton threw hard shots while Hordichuk threw quick ones, many going over and under in sequence. When Boulton's jersey went above his head, the linesmen stepped in.

Comments: Three seconds into the game the gloves drop. Slow start with lots of grappling and Hordichuk gets loose and throws some big rights that land. McCarthy gets loose and they go shot for shot for about 10 seconds until McCarthy decks him. Both fighters bloody in a great punchup.

Comments: Not a lot happened. Neil grabbed Tamer behind the net. Neil dropped his gloves and threw a couple of quick ones. One to the helmet, the other off the shoulder pads. After that just a little grabbin' and dancin'.

Comments: Hordichuk and Dwyer drop them right off the faceoff and immediately begin throwing. Both fighters are throwing from in close. Not a whole lot of defense as usual. Both fighters land some solid blows. No KO's, no blood, good fight.

Comments: Tibbetts initiates, but Hordi takes it to him. After fighting nothing but heavies lately, this one seemed relatively easy to him. Holding with one arm he landed numerous punches, nothing substantial, but quite a few. Tibbetts didn't land any as Hordi got his jersey over his head early.

Comments: Starts behind the net. Zednik lands the first good punch with a couple of uppercuts. Reirden goes down but gets back up and lands two good rights using his reach. They dance for a few seconds before Reirden throws two more rights landing the first one. Zednik can't reach Reirden, but manages to land another uppercut. Not a bad fight for these guys.

Comments: Hordichuk got hold of Simpson early and landed a couple, nothing hard before they started spinning. Both guys throwing, but not much landing. There was only one official there as a scrum developed on the other side with Ray Ferraro, Domenichelli, Benoit Gratton and Asham. When Hordichuk and Simpson go to the ice the official goes down on top of Hordichuk (remember there was only one official) at which time Simpson hits Hordi in the back of the head (pretty good shot). Cheap shot by Reid. Hordichuk might have actually gotten cut on the back of his head, as he kept showing the official the blood. The official really didn't seem to care as he was too busy skating over to the other scrum. Other Penalties: Gratton and Ferraro received roughings.

Comments: Asham kept grabbing and pushing on Domenichelli who finally dropped the gloves, only he really didn't look like he knew what to do next. Dom tries to throw a punch, but misses. Asham sets himself up and a good right to Domenichelli's jaw put him down. Other Penalties: Both players received game misconducts (second fight started).

Comments: Both players drop the gloves, with each guy grabbing hold they start spinning. After about 20 seconds of spinning and no punches thrown, the officials jump in. Both fighters only get 2 minutes for roughing. As the penalties end both skaters enter the ice and immediately drop them to finish what they started. Hordichuk is trying to stay in tight and throws a couple of rights that land on Probert's shoulder. Probert throws a couple that miss. Hordichuk misses with a couple and then lands a right to the side of Probert's helmet. As Hordichuk starts to go down Probert lands a right to the top of Hordi's head. Other Penalties: Probert received a roughing minor.

Comments: They drop the Gloves and grab a hold of each other, Naz holds off Hordichuck with his reach advantage as Hordichuck tries several rights. A couple land, but most come up short. Naz knocks him off balance and lands one shot while Hordichuck was on the ice.

Comments: They bump into each and just throw the gloves off at the blue line. They each get in about 4-5 rights in their shoulders and helmets. Hordichuk then gets Erskine's sweater over his head and starts throwing away. He probably threw 3-5 shots and Erskine went on one knee (not really because he was getting hit, but because he couldn't see and Hordichuk was pulling him down with his left hand) and threw a couple rights that missed. Erskine then gets up and is able to get his sweater from over his head and it looks like they're ready to chuck knuckles a little while longer but the refs broke it up. Other Penalties: Pat Verbeek received an unsportsmanlike conduct.

Comments: Before the faceoff, Webb whacks Darcy's stick out of his hands. Linesman comes over for a talk, they re-lineup, and then drop the gloves after the puck drops. Both throw a couple of quick ones. None landing solid. Darcy then gets off about three or four solid shots. Webb throws a couple that seem to have caught either helmet or pads. Hordi lands another and Webb takes a knee. Hordi throws one more that seems to have landed before the zebras jump in. Webb did not return afterwards.

Comments: They both drop them out of nowhere and clinch on. Both throw a couple of rights, but with no hard connections. Richardson then hits him with a nice right, then Cowan grabs Richardson's right arm and Richardson hits him with 2 or 3 straight hand lefts while still holding on to Cowan's collar (sort of push punches). They both get their right arms free and both land at pretty much the same time with good right hands and then hold on again and both look to agree to stop there...pretty good fight.

Comments: The two square off behind the play at center ice. They trade a couple of shots before Peat rips Odgers helmet off. Odgers lands a couple of more before Peat switches to lefty and reals off 5 or 6 solid blows sending Odgers down. Odgers is helped off the ice, bleeding.

Comments: Odgers takes a run at Simpson after the whistle. Both push and shove and Odgers hangs onto Simpson. Simpson comes back with an elbow to Odgers face and then the gloves come off. All grappling and wrestling in this one, Odgers tried throwing a couple rights, but none even come close to landing. Simpson did try to throw one weak right, but other than that Simpson just wrestles Odgers to the ice.

Comments: A little scrum in front of the benches and after coming together Slegr gives Pronger a big-time facewash and pays dearly for it. Pronger got the right going and basically beat him bloody. No KO or anything like that, but Pronger got the right hand going and really went to town on Slegr. Props to Slegr for not hitting the deck after he took some serious punishment. Other Penalties: Pronger received an instigator, misconduct, and game misconduct; Andy Sutton a roughing; Ilya Kovalchuk and Doug Weight both got misconducts.

Comments: Odgers goes after Salvador as he feels the need to avenge Pronger's dismantling of Slegr. The cameras missed most of the early part of the fight, but when they got there Odgers had Salvador's jersey over his head and was throwing his trademark right hand. Salvador was throwing straight rights too and they both quickly hit the ice rather violently. Other Penalties: Odgers received an instigator, misconduct, and game misconduct.

Comments: Cairns moves the puck up out of the zone, and Odgers turns around, the shove (after lots of chatting), and they drop the gloves. Nothing much at first. Just a right miss by Cairns, and then Odgers starts up with the rights. Many punches that don't come close to Cairns face as Odgers does not have reach on his size. Shoulder or just missing short on all. Then Cairns takes control. Some overhand rights, at least one landing. A pause, and then an attempt at a punch by Odgers and more overhands by Cairns, hard to tell what's landing - some, not all, not none. Spinning around, Cairns switches hands. He throws a left uppercut that lands as Odgers goes down. He's cocked and ready but just waits as it's obvious this one should end with Odgers down. Linesmen in, and that's it.

Comments: Lambert goaded Sutton prior to the faceoff. Slegr actually moved across from Lambert, but as soon as the puck dropped he jumped right in Sutton's face. Sutton took the bait and immediately dropped the gloves (he got the extra 2 minutes). The only solid punch that landed was an uppercut by Sutton that seemed to stun Denny. The funny part of the fight was immediately after the fight he (Lambert) skated to the home penalty box (old habits die hard). Other Penalties: Sutton received a boarding.

Comments: No punches of any significance were thrown. Odgers held on close. Sawyer tried to get away a couple of times, but couldn't. A couple of punches were thrown by both from in tight, that either missed completely or caught pads. The radio guy said at one time that a punch to the helmet by Odgers seemed to stun Sawyer, but eyewitness accounts said that Sawyer was just a little PO'd because he couldn't get free.

Comments: Scrum going on. Lindros is with Cowan and Malakhov comes over to take him on. The gloves come off (kinda, Malakhov left one on). Wild swinging, not much landing. Malakhov might have gotten a shot in, but Cowan's poor balance was the only thing that stood out. Other Penalties: Dan Snyder received a slashing and roughing; Eric Lindros a crosschecking; Matt Barnaby a double roughing; Cowan a roughing.

A helluva lotta wrestling and jersey pulling before Sandy lands a short right jab. Yet more wrestling, until Sandy gets the right free and lands a few with one landing pretty good. More grappling before the zebras come in. Blah.

Comments: A little jawing just before the face off, and the gloves come off with the drop of the puck. Typical Odgers fight, no defense. Both Odgers & the Chief throw about 20 quick, short punches with most of them hitting the target. Good quick fight.

Comments: Lessard goes after Parker and throws a left that missed. Parker gets his gloves off and throws a left to Lessard's head. Parker drags a left across Lessard's nose. Lessard throws a big left that Parker avoids (maybe hit his neck). Parker throws a left to top of Lessard's helmet. A left by Lessard hits Parker's helmet/temple area. Parker hits Lessard with left in his ear and then throws another left that may have grazed Parker on the way down. Parker throws a big right uppercut apears to land and then a whiff with a right. They both throw simultaneously, both hitting neck. Lessard lands a nice left to Parker's mug. Parker then misses with right. Lessard throws two big time lefts - one on side of the head, the other just missed. Parker tries an uppercut that doesn't connect. They both seem tired and are missing widly. Lessard throws two more lefts - one hitting the side of Parker's head. Parker throws two nothing lefts, then they grab on. They both try to get noggie shots in while refs grab them.

Comments: Snyder delivers every ounce of his 185 pounds on an explosive hit on Elias. Langenbrunner jumps into Snyder's face, and they immediately drop the gloves. Both landed about five each. No real damage, except for a small cut on Snyder's forehead. Other Penalties: Jeff Cowan and Patrik Elias received roughings; Langenbrunner an instigator and misconduct.

Comments: They had a spirited go, which included a brief period of toe to toe punches. Grand-Pierre landed some bombs that made Odgers weak in the knees. Unbelievably, Odgers' nose was bleeding (note: sarcasm).
