Nov 11, 2001 1pd 08:47 Craig Rivet @NYR Steve McKenna
After Rivet runs Lindros into the goal post,Mckenna attacks Rivet. McKenna throws about maybe four punches, all seem to be helmet punches, although they looked hard. Other Penalties: Rivet received an interference; McKenna an instigator and misconduct; Sheldon Souray and Sandy McCarthy both received misconducts.

Nov 11, 2001 2pd 06:45 Sheldon Souray @NYR Tomas Kloucek
Kloucek, who was in the box for a minor comes out of the box and basically dives in front of Brian Savage as Savage is on the rush coming up the ice. Savage, who had his head down looking at the puck and totally not expecting Kloucek, gets leveled. Souray makes a beeline for Kloucek and pretty much beats on him. Kloucek may have landed one but basically got schooled. Souray gets credit for standing up for a teammate, Kloucek for coming back out of the locker room, (had to go in for a cut) - he started right up again with the hitting. Other Penalties: Souray received an instigator and misconduct.

Nov 20, 2001 1pd 09:50 Reid Simpson BOS Andrei Nazarov
They start off grappling for position and Simpson gets off 3 rights to the side of Nazarov's head. Naz counters with a couple of rights then Simpson tosses 4 or 5 more rights, most hitting helmet. Naz sneaks in a great right towards the end.

Dec 12, 2001 1pd 06:29 Richard Zednik @ATL Todd Reirden
Starts behind the net. Zednik lands the first good punch with a couple of uppercuts. Reirden goes down but gets back up and lands two good rights using his reach. They dance for a few seconds before Reirden throws two more rights landing the first one. Zednik can't reach Reirden, but manages to land another uppercut. Not a bad fight for these guys.

Dec 12, 2001 2pd 08:47 Reid Simpson @ATL Darcy Hordichuk
Hordichuk got hold of Simpson early and landed a couple, nothing hard before they started spinning. Both guys throwing, but not much landing. There was only one official there as a scrum developed on the other side with Ray Ferraro, Domenichelli, Benoit Gratton and Asham. When Hordichuk and Simpson go to the ice the official goes down on top of Hordichuk (remember there was only one official) at which time Simpson hits Hordi in the back of the head (pretty good shot). Cheap shot by Reid. Hordichuk might have actually gotten cut on the back of his head, as he kept showing the official the blood. The official really didn't seem to care as he was too busy skating over to the other scrum. Other Penalties: Gratton and Ferraro received roughings.

Dec 12, 2001 2pd 08:47 Arron Asham @ATL Hnat Domenichelli
Asham kept grabbing and pushing on Domenichelli who finally dropped the gloves, only he really didn't look like he knew what to do next. Dom tries to throw a punch, but misses. Asham sets himself up and a good right to Domenichelli's jaw put him down. Other Penalties: Both players received game misconducts (second fight started).

Domi just became leafs all time penalty minute leader with this fight. Not a big fight to get it with though. Domi tried to get Reid's shirt over his head and they spent most of the fight hugging. They both landed one punch each in close.

Dec 26, 2001 1pd 10:39 Reid Simpson @BUF Rob Ray
The two square off at the Buffalo blue line. Simpson starts first and misses his first few, but he's got a good hold of Ray's shirt. Ray throws a couple of his own, missing as well. Reid then gets the jersey over Ray's head and begins to throw shots at Ray's covered head. Simpson throws 5 or 6, but Ray is throwing back (his head still covered). They swing a little and Reid goes back at it and throws about 5 more, all the while Ray is blindly throwing back. Reid definitely landed more than a few. Ray landed a couple, but the fight was dominated by Simpson. Simpson had the ice bag on his hand and Ray had a mouse on his left cheek.
Voted winner: Reid Simpson (90.9%) - Voted rating: 6.4

Dec 26, 2001 2pd 09:39 Arron Asham @BUF Rhett Warrener
In the middle of Buffalo's zone, these two drop the gloves and start exchanging punches. Back and forth, back and forth. One problem: no one's connecting. Warrener threw an uppercut, Asham threw one of those punches with the same hand that's holding the jersey. Nothing hit the other guy. It ended when Asham was trying to get his elbow pad off, but it wouldn't budge, so the linesmen came in.

Dec 29, 2001 2pd 13:33 Stephane Quintal @NYI Eric Cairns
Shortly after the Habs score, these two drop 'em in the Isles zone a little in front of the net. Quintal is the aggresor and grab Cairns immediately. The momentum from them grabbing takes them towards the boards. Cairns is about to start off with a right that's semi-blocked by Quintal as Cairns stops mid-throw. Quintal then throws a right that misses. They each have their right hands free, and they're almost against the boards now. Eric tries to throw a straight right, and Quintal an upper-cut. Cairns doesn't connect, and Quintal hits the bottom of Cairns' arm. Quintal then connects with a solid right as Cairns is also throwing a punch that goes down into Quintal's chest. Quintal throws another quick one that hits helmet. Two more thrown by Quintal. First one grazes Cairns' face, the next goes over his head. In between the two Cairns threw a right that went no where. Quintal then throws an uppercut that didn't seem to hit anything or have any effect. Cairns then throws a monster overhand right that hits temple/helmet area. A moment of grappling and then another big overhand from Cairns that possibly grazes Quintal. Huge uppercut from Cairns now sends Quintal's head snapping back! Back to the overhand which misses as Quintal is straightening back up. A right hook from Cairns now also connects hard! Some more grappling and then a right uppercut by Cairns that misses. Then a right by Quintal as Cairns gets up the shoulder to block. A straight right by Cairns nails him! Cairns then shoulder-blocks the next right from Quintal and fires another straight right that tags Quintal again. Quick pulling and then Cairns hits some helmet. A body uppercut or something that looks like it from Quintal pushes Cairns back. Some more pulling and now Cairns pulls his right arm underneath his jersey. You can see his fight-strap is definitely tied down since half of it's up now. They both straighten up, Quintal throws a left hook that misses and Cairns tosses a big right that misses or possibly hits, but either way it hunches Quintal over since Cairns has his arm right above Quintal's shoulder. Linesmen then come in since Quintal is on his knee. Some words are exchanged on the way over to the box.
Voted winner: Eric Cairns (63.6%) - Voted rating: 6.5

Jan 10, 2002 2pd 17:20 Arron Asham NYI Dave Scatchard
The fight started along the boards. There was some chit-chat as they casually dropped their gloves while moving towards center ice. They grabbed on and Scatch got off a couple of over the top punches that seemed to connect. Asham threw one or two, but they didn't seem to make it to Scatchard's head. Then they were in a hold while Asham was trying to get rid of an elbow pad. Scatch kept holding as the linesmen came in and broke it up.

Quintal starts with a right that misses. Ray misses with a right. Ray connects with a right to the jaw. Ray throws another right that lands on Quintal's back. Another right by Ray lands on Quintal's chest. Quintal comes back with a right to Ray's shoulder. Ray lands two rights to Quital's helmet. Quintal then lands three rights to Ray's chest. They both throw rights that miss. Ray hits Quintal on the shoulder with a right followed by two to the back. Ray lands a right to Quintal's cheek. Quintal landed a right on Ray. Ray hits Quintal with a right to the mouth. Quintal lands a right of his own. They both miss a right. Quintal misses another right and then they both miss again. At the same time: Long square off between Odjick and Boulton. Odjick called on Boulton. Boulton came toward Odjick and they both fell to the ice without throwing a punch. Draw.Other Penalties: Odjick received a roughing and misconduct; Boulton an unsportsmanlike conduct and misconduct.

Mar 09, 2002 1pd 03:44 Francis Bouillon TOR Darcy Tucker
After a check the two decide to have at it. It's pretty even from the start with both player landing some shots. They then go toe to toe, with Tucker getting the better of the shots in. After 4-5 solid shots by Tucker, Bouillon is bent over with his jersey over his head. Tucker lands one more stiff left as the linesmen come in.

Mar 09, 2002 2pd 14:51 Arron Asham TOR Travis Green
Happens right after a Canadiens goal. Not a whole bunch happening. Asham is looking to pick his spots and Green is just hanging on and trying not to get hit. Asham throws a few that don't land and then throws an uppercut that misses, but Green decides to go down anyway as he is not interested in fighting.

Apr 01, 2002 1pd 15:08 Gino Odjick @PIT Jamie Pushor
This started Saturday, when Odjick suckered Pushor. Tonight, Pushor lost his stick and was folowing Odjick around grabbing him, They both finally dropped them, but for some reason Odjick kept his right glove on, they grabbed on and went pretty good, both landing, but Odjick was landing with his glove on. Weird. Other Penalties: Both players received roughings.

Apr 09, 2002 3pd 19:38 Doug Gilmour OTT Daniel Alfredsson
As the two are skating down the surface, Gilmour undercut Alfredsson. Daniel was pretty pissed about it and went straight for Doug. Alfredsson threw an overhand right that missed, but threw Doug off balance. Alfredsson then threw a left that glanced off of Gilmour's face. This takes them both off balance and down they go. Other Penalties: Gilmour received a tripping; Alfredsson a crosschecking.
