what about Deryk Engelland? just Youtube him. best fighter in hockey. https://www.youtube.com/watch?...
He makes up for it by incidents like the one that happened Saturday where he popped Scott in the chops and then ran away, leaving Chara to take over for him.
McGratton is no doubt a top fighter. His crowd gestures are unnecessary though. Fight. Win. And act like you've been there before. Reminds me of Aaron Asham's KO of Jay Beagle, when he did the "Sleeping" gesture. Classless.
I'm sorry but I can't put anyone with a mask on the list. Yes Gazdic has no choice about the visor but he wears a very, very tight helmet that rarely comes off. IMO he should be borrowing Butch Gorings old lid. And as much as I admire Orr, (throws both hands, super long reach and huge balls) he is surely concussed; he is done. Orr is a prime example of a lawsuit waiting to happen. Big Mac. Has had an amazing year and I too am glad he put Rosehill on the list. This season, Jay fought as if his life depended on victory.
Hockey fights are all that is left in the game for me. I played for 15 years and never missed a game on TV. But I have not watched a full game in a decade. I try, trust me on that but I find most games an utter snooze. That said, the first page I go to every morning is hockeyfights.com!!
Thought for sure with all of the hate that Lucic receives during each year for his fights, that those same people would be on here saying, "oh man, Lucic has fought 4 of the top 5 fighters in the league in Carkner, Rosehill Orr and Gazdic, and has beat 2 of those pretty handily and had a good draw with Gazdic, and lost to Orr when Orr was in his prime".
I love that he says 'Fighting ability. Wins and losses, or activity mean shit to me'. This quote should be the sub-title to the Remember When? forum.
I do not think that ORR is the same ORR.Something has gone missing[concussion}? The others seem ok,with Mac Grattan on the top tier. Rosehill has come a long way, just as has little Chris Barch. Parros should call it quits, too old/damaged,and John Scott also because he cannot take a punch, cannot skate, and has No stamina,,,, so why dress him up ? Ps; you cannot be a tough fighter if cannot take a punch,or two,Mac Grattan can take anyone`s punches,,unbelievably !
I was so pumped to read that me and Gratts had the same number 1!! Bordy is insane (from a Habs fan, not a french habs fan either). Colton Orr 3 years ago would be the top of that list easy, 10x over everyone, but age has hit Orr harder than maybe any other enforcer in the league. Shame we can't see tough guys like the league used to bring who almost seemed to get better with age ;) (Brash, Simon, Laraque, etc...) Regardless, my top 5 easily consist of the same 5. I would throw Rosehill over Carkner. The candidates to take Carkner's fifth are very present though, between Reaves, Engelland, Boll, Kassian, Parros, Scott, the list goes on. Those top 4 are strong though, and I think will remain that way, hopefully, for a long time.
Great Rosehill mention. This probably looks like a lot of fans' top 5, granted I put Gratts himself at #1.
Also very interesting to see a rookie so highly regarded already. Gazdic has earned it, though.
