Pennsylhateya

Rob Rossi and Joe Starkey of the Tribune-Review have a great write-up of the Penguins-Flyers rivalry, now more than 40-years old.

Although united by Commonwealth ties (and they have tied 31 times), the teams are divided in many ways. The Penguins, over the past three decades, have preferred a more stylistic brand of hockey. The Flyers spent their first decade establishing themselves as “bullies,” and much of the past three living up to that tag.

Boogaard ailing

After playing hsi first game in a month, Derek Boogaard left practice early yesterday due to his back.  He will make the Wild’s road trip.
