Crosby Throws Down, Ducks and Yotes Duel

Sidney Crosby is starting to make this a habit.  For the third season in a row Crosby has dropped the gloves.  He was battling around the net with Marek Zidlicky before the two exchanged slashes, prompting the gloves to come off.  Zidlicky’s fought with about the same frequency as Crosby the past few seasons.  Sid had Zidlicky’s jersey up pretty fast, getting in a few punches as the linesmen wasted no time breaking it up.

Desert fight

The Coyotes and Ducks are probably in the opposite spots most expected in the standings.  Last night’s game between these two teams in Phoenix was played hard and chippy all the way through.  James Wisniewski laid a monster, if not questionable hit on Shane Doan in the first period.  Doan had a little trouble getting back to the bench and Keith Yandle stepped up for his teammate.  Just a minute into the second period, presumably with his head clearer, Doan took on Wisniewski himself.  Heavyweights George Parros and Paul Bissonnette also had a scrap in the first.

May’s status unknown

Brad May was high-sticked while on the bench last night.  He remained in Calgary for observation, but is scheduled to fly home today.  There’s no date for his return, but good to know it’s not serious.  The Wings are a pretty tough watch without him.

Sid the Kid is still just that.  It was cool to see the energy in him to throw down, but one lets not cross check the man in the back first.  Lose respect points for that.  Second they had a square off and with Crosby wearing a visor should have been a real man and taken the helmet off.  Yeah his helmet flew off in the fury but he should have been a man and taken it off.  Fights earn no respect in my book from guys who thrown down while still wearing the visor helmets.  Hey Sidney have a talk with Mike Richards.  That’s a man.  That’s a visor/helmet wearing taking off man.  Otherwise just tap Eric Godard on the shoulder and tell him the bully is picking on you.

hey dopey, they didn’t square off.  Zidlicky was also wearing a visor, and crosby was “man” enough to talk to the media after the game.

Christian you’re so far up Richards @$$ you pick his teeth with your fingernails.  Richards sucks and isn’t half the man Crosby is.  Crosby has a cup Richards does not.  Crosby has a scoring title and an MVP.  Richards does not.  Richards can’t contain Crosby but Crosby can easily contain Richards (watch the stanley cup round 3 2008 and round one of 2009)Crosby was sluefooted by Zidlicky so he stood up for himself.  Crosby is a winner a good captain and one of the toughest (not by fighting) players in the league. He competes everynight.  In 15 years Crosby will still be producing, Richards will probably be on the downswing of his career struggling to reach 20 goals again.

You must have a sore throat from sucking Crosby’s balls yourself you hypocrite. He might be a great player but he isn’t near the toughest in the league.

If 2 guys are gonna wear visors and fight then it’s not even worth it.  Once in awhile the visors may fall off like in this fight but they did have a stare down and both should have taken off their helmets before throwing down.  That’s when they get the respect for being tough

What is the point of fighting back an forth on here…u guys can’t be over the age of fifteen b/c in the REAL WORLD once u swear and use the whole dick/balls/so and so sucks thing, u lose all credibility. The fight was just and emotional spur of the moment fight…if there was time, who knows or cares about the visor… it’s better to have vision than not. It’s not like Crosby, Richards or any of those guys get paid to fight. I’m from Pittsburgh, went to school with a bunch of guys from philly, at least they are educated enough to know crosby is good, while Richards is too..at the same time Richards would be a 3rd line center in Pittsburgh, and with Staal there now we really have no use for him b/c of our center dept..still a good player. When they fight it’s different, it’s more raw and emotional as opposed to Goddard, Carcillo, ect…and by the way,

Crosby is an over-rated puss.  He’ll get his this year and when it does I’ll be lmao.  Whether a knee on knee or blind concussive check…it does no matter to me.  Somone take this pansy out…

@ #7 - Jay from Columbus. Overrated? Bwaaa Haaa Haaa Haaa. When did you move to Columbus from Philly? How much does Hartnell pay you to kiss his behind and mow his lawn? Fail. Miserably.

Peter Long from Steel City of Champions: Sid is a cup winner, but if you think for one second they would have won without Fluery you are sadly mistaken. The series against Philly last year might have been 4-2 Pitt, it was the goaltending of Fluery that won them the cup…

Hell, I’d take either of them on the Wild, maybe even if they were gay, like some of you guys seem to fantasize about.  Well maybe not, but since when is goading a star or otherwise taking 5 minutes off the ice with a star a new thing in the league?  Agree Sid needs to lose the visor hat when standing up for himself to really be worthy of the C.
