Updated: added Adams-Asham and last night’s Burrows-Nichol scrap as well. Donald Brashear, Brian Sutherby and Scott Mellanby were all suspended a game for receiving instigators within the last fives minutes of regulation. Brashear picked up an extra two games for being Donald Brashear. The Youtube clip I made (down below), is one of the most popular clips this week on the site. My new video servers aren’t up yet, but you can download it from the forums in the normal format I release clips. To answer a couple of the more popular email questions I received: Yes, I did use Youtube, and not another video service, because of the NHL deal I wrote about on TIB; I did encode the clip I uploaded at a very high rate to get it to look a little better than the average YT video. Just for reference, YT videos are only 320x240, so I’m going to attempt to resize below so it looks less distorted. Enjoy the long weekend if you have it.

Ok, sorry I don’t have the blog up yet (that plus the redesign/relaunch will happen very soon), but here’s the latest: we’ve blown through the bandwidth this month on the servers I use for video downloads. New ones are being setup, so for today I’ve uploaded a combined highlight reel for the Thrashers-Caps game to the NHL’s new friend, Youtube. The Canes-Islanders clip will be up Friday evening. The others are all below (there were no replays broadcast, I didn’t cut them out). They’re being served from the main web server, sorry about any slowdowns while surfing, it should be minimal and as soon as I can move them, I will. The holiday doesn’t make it any easier to have things setup quickly. Enjoy the day off to all those who have it. Thank you to Ole-Kristian Tollefsen for consistently sending Norway here over the past month. A belated welcome to Norway and the readers of vg.no. The next time the Thrashers and Caps play is Dec 15. I’m sure Eric Boulton will be in the Thrashers’ lineup. Warnings will probably be issued, but we’ll all watch anyway.
