Souray Floors Weller

The beast inside of Sheldon Souray hasn’t been awoken that often during the last few seasons, but when the veteran has been called on to drop the gloves, he’s been successful. Thus was the case last night when Souray decided to dance with his latest foe, Craig Weller, who received an old-fashioned beatdown before being put down for the count courtesy of Souray’s left hand. A spirited scrap between Ladislav Smid and James Sheppard was the other bout in Oilers-Wild.

Tuesday night started fast with a couple of scraps in the early night games. Shawn Thornton and Tim Jackman tangled in a short one in Bruins-Isles and Jordin Tootoo took care of Steve Begin in Preds-Habs. Paul Gaustad and Brian Sutherby also traded punches in Sabres-Stars.

In the West, two fights took place in Avs-Blues. Cody McLeod and Brad Winchester fought right off of the opening faceoff and rookies Chris Stewart and Tyson Strachan did the same in the second period. Rob Davison taking a decision over Daniel Carcillo rounded out the night’s action.

Jindra why don't you tell everyone who won that fight? Are you one of the little fags who actually voted for Weller on that one. Lol Weller did not know what the fuck happened. I would not doubt that he soiled himself. And yeah, I'll say it again - Souray vs Boogard is a stupid fight. I'm mean I'd like to see it, but come on - as if an all-star is going to fight a 6'7" guy who plays 1 or 2 shifts a night who's only role is to bash heads. The expected match-up would be Boog vs. McIntyre or are you too stupid to see this? Dumb fook STFU and don't post again.

As for Boog vs Souray - come on dipshits, even Boog vs Stortini isn't a real fight. Boog needs to fight McIntyre who is still a bit of an unknown despite his size.

I'm also a die hard hockey fight fan who watches these fights objectively. When I viewed this fight, the first thing I thought was that a suspension was in order. Souray is wearing an object on the back of his hand, and it did indeed cut and hurt Weller, who would have stood a much better chance of staying in this fight if the wrist guard was not in place. It is a 'no brainer', and a stupid, stupid move by a top ranked defenseman.

He didn't win because of the brace...he won the fight because he is tough period......January 30th they play again and let's see Weller step up..... or better yet watch Boogaard go fight Wellers' battle for him in either case Souray is a hard nosed player and fights periodically when he has to and will answer the call if need be.

Get a clue, In his last 3 fights he threw nothing but left forearms, If you tip your wrist( which he does) the edge of the cast has cut several players!!!!!!!! Wellers forhead was cut, Not to many players that i have watched are able to cut a guys forhead wide open!!! so, while he may be a good defenseman, He in my book is still a PUSS, so get over it!!!!!

Souray used his left hand knowing it had an illegal support for fighting. Definately gave his hand a rigid support. Suppose he had a roll of quarters in his hand, the quarters didn't come in contact so that's okay??? Sissyoury should get a multi game suspension. This should not be tolerated in this league or any sport. It is dangerous and downright cheating. Get a life. If Sissy boy wants to go, do it within the rules.

He only fights when he decides who he wants to fight, and its never anyone tough. Just like when he went after Lilja in Detroit.
