P.K. Subban Fights Again

It wasn't much of a bout, but P.K. Subban dropped the gloves again, this time after a challenge from Brian Sutherby. Subban lunged forward, fell, Sutherby let Subban get back on his skates, but the fight only lasts a few more seconds as Subban loses his balance a second time.

Subban has a reputation for trash-talking and will only be challenged more and more as his ice time increases. In both of his fights this season he's played not interested, and then suddenly lets a punch fly. With Sutherby it was by diving at him. Against Zach Bogosian it was with a punch out of nowhere. Good strategy or dirty play?

In other action last night, Jared Boll won decsively against Tim Jackman, and Tom Sestito faired well versus Robyn Regehr. The Blue Jackets won the game against the Flames, too, 3-1.

There were a trio of fights in the Ducks-Sabres game, but the game unfortunately wasn't televised (at least here, in the States). We hope to add that footage soon.

He has to go with the surprise attack. Then every time he feels he's starting to get into trouble in his fights he dives to the ice hoping the refs will break it up. It's PATHETIC! Posted by bustsomechops on 2010-12-22 19:45:36 It's still on Subban. If you act like you're not fighting, and just grabbing to hold on to someone, and then toss one suddenly, it's out of nowhere. Guys drop the gloves and pair off all the time in scrums without punches being thrown. Bogosian wanted the fight, without a doubt, he just thought he wasn't getting it until that shot from Subban was thrown lightning fast, to catch Bogosian off-guard. You can call it dirty or you can call it a good tactic, that's why I pose the question.
Posted by David M Singer on 2010-12-22 16:09:20 that "punch out of nowhere" was obviously initiated by bogosian ripping off his own elbow pad, which is clearly a sign that hes going to engage in some fisticuffs..... if some one is wrestling to get there arm free and they manage to do so, you better be ready......
