Christmas Eve

Another reminder that hockeyfights.com is currently in holiday-mode here on the day before Christmas.

Logs will be updated, emails will be answered if possible, and you may see a blog post or two from David and I, but the videos from last night’s NHL action most likely will not be updated until Christmas night or the day after.

All of us here at the site would like to wish everyone a Merry Christmas.

Last night’s action

Zack Stortini did double-time in the sin bin last night as he dropped his gloves in separate bouts against Ben Eager and Martin Lapointe.

The only true heavyweight fight of the night was between Jody Shelley and Darcy Hordichuk.

If anyone thought that Eric Nystrom would have racked up six fighting majors already this season, you must have a gift. “Little Nystrom” fought Sheldon Brookbank during the first period of last night’s Devils-Flames game. While Nystrom hasn’t been as impressive as his father thus far, I don’t think anyone minds his willingness.

A bout between Steve Ott and Francis Bouillon rounded out the evening.
