Avery to Miss Weeks After Neil Hit

Sean Avery will miss four weeks after a hit from Chris Neil this past Saturday.

The early call

Wayne Fish of phillyBurbs.com is already writing about the rise in fighting this season.

After just about a week (39 games), it’s a bit too soon to say what this season will look like.  Mike Knuble is also predicting an increase in fighting this season, but as Fish points out, the Flyers did add Jesse Boulerice and Riley Cote to accompany Ben Eager, so from a Flyers perspective he’s probably right.
