| Comments: The horn sounds to end the period, but Barnaby and Moen decide to drop the mitts and duke it out at center ice. Barnaby chases Moen with long rights to start things off and Moen responds with a right of his own. The two exchange rights to the side of the head and Moen throws a couple of more rights while Barnaby tries to shake off his elbow pad. Moen throws a flurry of eight straight rights while they are spinning around, but most of them miss their target. They wrestle around for a bit until Barnaby gets an arm free and throws two rights to the side of Moen's head. Barnaby connects with a short right to the back of Moen's head and a left cross that surprises Moen. Moen responds with a right-uppercut combination and the two then grapple some more. Barnaby misses wide with a left hook and Moen then throws four rights to the back of Barnaby's helmet. They then hold on, causing the linesmen to skate on over towards them. Barnaby throws an overhand right, but the linemen have already grabbed both players. | ||||

| Comments: Right after the faceoff the two exchange words and drop the gloves with Mayers grabbing onto Moen only to quickly let go. They square off and Mayers shakes off both of his elbow pads while Moen is content to just tuck his shoulder pad back into his jersey. Moen throws two rights just before he has to go onto the defensive against a charging Mayers. Moen throws a couple of more rights to the back of Mayers' head while Mayers struggles to get going. Moen then connects with a flurry of six straight rights and Mayers falls to the ice, bringing Moen down with him. The linesmen come in and separate the two with Mayers having to skate away sporting a cut on the back of his head. | ||||

| Comments: Walker sends Moen sprawling to the ice with a hip check along the boards. Moen gets up and challenges Walker who obliges. They drop the gloves and Walker immediately grabs ahold of Moen. The two wrestle around up against the glass until Walker gets free and throws four long rights. Walker gets Moen's helmet off and throws two more rights just before Moen gets in a short shot of his own. They grapple for a short moment and Walker throws six overhand rights to the side and back of Moen's head, who holds on until Walker stops throwing and the linesmen are able to come in. | ||||

| Comments: Behind the play the two drop the gloves and square off at center ice. They grab ahold of each other and McIver throws an early right. Moen answers back with two jersey-jabs and they go back and forth with quick, wild rights. Moen throws two rights and McIver goes down to a knee only to quickly get back up and throw a right of his own. They go back and forth with long rights while they spin around until Moen loses his balance and falls to the ice. The linesmen allow Moen to return to his feet and the two exchange rights once again before Moen spins to the ice and McIver holds him there, allowing the linesmen to skate on in. | ||||

| Comments: Wisniewski throws a check on Moen near the Ducks' bench and Moen turns around and gives him a shot, letting him know he's there. They stare down for a bit, then drop the gloves. They square off and circle around some. Wisniewski lunges at Moen, almost sending them both to the ice. Moen regains his balance as Wisniewski throws a couple of rights. Moen counters with a hard right of his own and then the two continue to exchange wild rights. A handful of throws from each later Wisniewski misses one completely, losing his balance, and falling to the ice with Moen on top. | ||||

They grab onto each other and Moen misses with a right that Bradley is able to duck under. Moen throws two more rights and an uppercut and Bradley tries to respond with a right, but loses his balance and fights to stay on his feet. Moen throws two rights to the back of Bradley's helmet before ripping it off. Bradley lands a right and then shakes off his elbow pad. Moen returns fire with a right of his own and Bradley throws three more rights, following with a left that misses wide after that. Moen throws two more rights to the back of Bradley's head. Bradley's jersey comes up and over his head and they exchange simultaneous rights. They start wrestling around as the linesmen start skating in to save Bradley. Moen is able to press Bradley up against the boards, but the linesmen are right there to break things up. | ||||

| Comments: Raffi Torres throws a hard check on Moen near the boards, sending him to the ice. Moen gets up and gives Torres a shove as they skate by the net and the puck goes into the corner. Greene steps up and gives Moen a shove of his own and after a quick stare down they drop the gloves as the puck gets frozen within a pile-up in the corner. Greene starts off with a quick right that comes up short. Moen returns fire, landing a right of his own. They then exchange rights back and forth, most of which look to be short on both ends until Moen lands a right that causes Greene to lose his balance and fall to the ice, pulling Moen on top of him. The linesmen are in right away to break it up. | ||||

| Comments: Scott Niedermayer hits Kyle Calder along the boards just as the horn sounds to end the first period. Mathieu Schneider goes after Niedermayer and a scrum develops. Scott Niedermayer and Mikael Samuelsson wrestle along the glass while Rob Niedermayer tries to get ahold of Samuelsson. Meanwhile, Moen and Lilja skate out to center ice and square off. Lilja grabs ahold of Moen and throws a right that Moen tries to duck away from. They spin around and Lilja throws a few short rights. Moen returns fire with a roundhouse right that knocks Lilja off-balance and to his knees. Moen gets in two more rights while Lilja tries to get back up to his feet. He eventually does, but falls back down once Moen connects with an uppercut. Moen gets in one last jumping uppercut and one of the referees and linesmen intervene immediately after. Other Penalties: Mikael Samuelsson, Rob Niedermayer and Scott Niedermayer each received a roughing. | ||||
