Date Time For Against Opponent
Jan 10, 1998 3pd 11:00 @ SAN BUF Rob Ray
Comments: These two agree to go and start throwing some rights, with McSorley mixing in some body shots, before they grab on. After some positioning, they start getting free to throw some short rights. Ray lands a good one and McSorley lands at least two. Again McSorley pops Ray with a good short right and switches to some body shots. The two start exchanging good, hard rights with one another that both are connecting with perhaps Ray's landing slightly better here. They tie up in a bearhug with McSorley throwing some weak noogies. Ray ends this with a hard body shot, which forces McSorley to respond. Now free, McSorley again lands a few good rights. Ray switches to the left and lands a decent shot, which is followed by a McSorley right. Finally the linesmen break up the fight which is now over a minute long.
Voted winner: Draw (47.1%) - Voted rating: 8.3

Date Time For Against Opponent
Jan 29, 1998 2pd 11:57 @ SAN CHI Reid Simpson
Comments: Right off of the faceoff the two drop the gloves and tie up. McSorley throws four early rights while Simpson puts a hand in McSorley's face and throws two of his own. The two exchange quick rights while Simpson gets McSorley's jersey up and over his head. Simpson throw a mix of rights and uppercuts while McSorley is throwing blind, wild punches. McSorley gets in a right and Simpson responds with five rights, knocking McSorley's helmet off. McSorley throws two body shots just before falling down to his knees only to get right back up. The two then go back and forth with rights until Simpson rips McSorley's jersey off. They then exchange bombs, each player switching between hands and landing almost all of their punches. The two continue to go back and forth with numerous punches until they tire out and the linesmen move in. They are then escorted to the wrong penalty boxes and sent out to switch. McSorley skates over to a crowd of Blackhawks and gets shoved by Chelios. McSorley pops Chelios with a short right and the linesmen have to skate over and re-escort McSorley to the box and then the hallway. Other Penalties: McSorley received a game misconduct; Jim Cummins a misconduct.
Voted winner: Reid Simpson (75.7%) - Voted rating: 9.2
