| Nov 03, 2002 | 3pd 02:52 | @ DET | DAL | Rob DiMaio |
| Comments: After a save by Cujo, DiMaio and Avery exchange hellos and decide to drop the gloves. Because the camera always turns away when players are pushing, we didn't get to see the beginning of the fight. When the camera gets back on the action, DiMaio and Avery are trading lefts. It looked like DiMaio got the better of him landing a couple of nice lefts, but Avery did land a couple flush to DiMaio's face. According to the Stars announcers, Avery won the beginning of the fight and DiMaio the second half. | ||||
| Voted winner: Rob DiMaio (92.9%) - Voted rating: 6.1 | ||||

| Dec 06, 2002 | 2pd 03:58 | DET | @ DAL | Brenden Morrow |
| Comments: Avery came out firing and landed two pretty good rights on Morrow. Morrow can't get anything going as Avery lands a couple more to the back of his head. Morrow then catches Avery with a good left, they grapple for a while, and Avery lands one or two more as the linesman come in. Long fight, not too many punches landing though. Other Penalties: Mathieu Dandenault received a tripping. | ||||

| Dec 12, 2002 | 2pd 12:46 | @ DET | MIN | Stephane Veilleux |
| Comments: Both try to get in position, Avery throws a few and Vellieux drops. Then Avery throws a late punch as refs break it up. | ||||

| Dec 19, 2002 | 1pd 07:04 | @ DET | DAL | Stephane Robidas |
| Comments: Avery throws a hit on Robidas, a little jawing and off come the gloves. They come together with Robidas getting off to a quick start and landing a couple rights. Avery comes back with the left and they exchange blows, each getting in a few. The last right by Robidas looked to stun Avery a bit. He regains himself as his jersey begins to come up. His right arm is free from the jersey now, and he lands a couple to the helmet. Robidas is bent over now and Avery throws a pretty wicked left uppercut which appeared to land, but can't be certain since Avery's fist was caught inside his jersey at the time. They get all tangled up, embrace each other with headlocks and its over. | ||||

| Dec 23, 2002 | 2pd 15:03 | DET | @ CBJ | Duvie Westcott |
| Comments: They come out of the box and drop 'em soon after. Both were firing wild punches. Avery lands a few early, with Westcott seemingly off balance. Westcott comes back and eventually drops Avery with a solid shot. Avery attempted to get right back up, but still looked kinda dazed and fell backwards. Other Penalties: Westcott received a game misconduct. | ||||

| Jan 15, 2003 | 3pd 13:43 | DET | @ CHI | Steve Thomas |
| Comments: They are both talking for a while and finally go. They grab on and Thomas throws a right that comes up short. Avery lands a glancing right to the chin. Thomas a right that comes up short. Avery a right to the shoulder, and then throws two right that both hit the target. Thomas then lands a big right that puts Avery down but he gets right back up and Thomas throws a right that hits helmet. Avery lands another two glancing shots to the chin. Thomas lands a good right to the cheek. Avery throws a right that looks like it landed on the nose. Thomas throws a left to the back of Avery's head which puts Avery in an akward position and Thomas lands a solid uppercut. They then both land good simultaneous lefts. Thomas throws a left that hits helmet. Avery throws a right that comes up short, and then gets the helmet off. Thomas throws another right that comes up short, they hold on and the linesmen come in. | ||||

| Jan 19, 2003 | 3pd 18:32 | @ DET | VAN | Matt Cooke |
| Comments: Avery is lookin for a fight, he slashes Cooke and it doesn't look like Cooke is looking and Avery throws his gloves off and basically jumps him. He throws 2 or 3 punches that hit that back of Cooke's head. Cooke turtles and the linesmen break it up. Avery threw a few while Cooke was down also. Other Penalties: Avery received a roughing, misconduct and game misconduct. Matt Cooke did not receive a fighting major. | ||||

| Feb 15, 2003 | 3pd 14:18 | DET | @ ATL | Dan Snyder |
| Comments: Snyder had leveled Boyd Devereaux with a hit earlier, so Avery plays enforcer and looks for payback late in the third. They drop 'em and Avery tosses some early rights and takes control while Snyder lands a good shot late. Avery then gets the takedown. | ||||

| Mar 18, 2003 | 3pd 15:38 | @ LOS | CAL | Jarome Iginla |
| Comments: Iginla checks Avery and Avery falls. Before Avery even gets up Iginla drops his gloves and skates backwards waiting for Sean to get up and drop 'em. Iginla also takes off his helmet (Visor) as does Sean and they have a long, fair squareoff and it looks like Avery just jumps in, both throwing a couple that do not land. Iginla has Avery in a odd position, but Avery manages to throw a short punch that lightly connects to Iggy's face (no damage) and Avery's jersey is over his head aa Iginla throw's 2 noogies to Avery's head. Its all over then. It looked like Avery tried to throw more then Iginla. | ||||

| Mar 31, 2003 | 2pd 19:14 | LOS | @ PHO | Branko Radivojevic |
| Comments: After the whistle Rado get his stick up high on Avery and Avery grabs him and starts chucking rights. Rado drives him into the boards and Avery just kept throwing rights, just hitting the back of his head, maybe one uppercut might have landed. Rado threw nothing and the linesmen came in because Rado's jersey was over his head. Avery had a serious pissed off face the whole time he was fighting. | ||||

| Apr 02, 2003 | 3pd 19:56 | @ LOS | COL | Serge Aubin |
| Comments: Marchment runs Lappy, and everbody pairs off as the game wind's down. Avery grabs Aubin, throws a right to Aubin's temple up against the boards. Aubin's got the sheild on and doesn't look interested. They jockey along the boards and Avery gets his right cocked. Some twirling and Avery throws two rights to Aubin's helmet. Aubin looks to throw a right that has nothing on it as Avery is trying to get Aubin's helmet/sheild off. Avery throws an uppercut to Aubin's ribs, then a right to the back of Aubin's neck. Two nothing rights from Avery and Aubin's trying to get him down. Avery is pinned on the boards now and still trying to get Aubin's lid off. Aubin's got his left pushed into Avery's face. Avery tries an uppercut to the body, then looks to land a decent uppercut to Aubin's cheek. Avery misses a right, a jerseyed left, then another right. Other Penalties: Bryan Marchment and Aaron Miller each received a roughing. | ||||
