Comments: While the Malakhov-Sacco fight is going on, Lindros and Whitfield are paired off. Whitfield buries his head while Lindros starts throwing. Looked like that fight all over again. Kolzing came and pulled Lindros off. Blackburn came over, but nothing else happened. Other Penalties: Both players received game misconducts; Olaf Kolzig and Dan Blackburn both received leaving the crease penalties.

Comments: Lindros and Berg exchange slashes, which Lindros takes offense to. Lindros gives Berg the facewash, and drops his gloves, hitting a couple of glancing blows to Berg, who turtles immediately. Berg had only managed to drop one of his gloves, while he was on the ice. Other Penalties: Lindros received an instigator and misconduct.
