A little scrum in front of the benches and after coming together Slegr gives Pronger a big-time facewash and pays dearly for it. Pronger got the right going and basically beat him bloody. No KO or anything like that, but Pronger got the right hand going and really went to town on Slegr. Props to Slegr for not hitting the deck after he took some serious punishment. Other Penalties: Pronger received an instigator, misconduct, and game misconduct; Andy Sutton a roughing; Ilya Kovalchuk and Doug Weight both got misconducts.

Pronger and Varada are set to go with Pronger looking like he has fire in his eyes. The refs jump in in and grab both guys. Pronger threw maybe 2 uppercuts while it's in the process of being broken up. Other Penalties: Pronger received a roughing.
