The two come to face to face at the blueline and drop the gloves in front of the Columbus net. Shelley grabs ahold of Boogaard and throws two rights to start things off. Boogaard responds with a right of his own and they go back and forth with long rights. They then exchange some jersey-jabs before Boogaard connects with a hard body shot. They exchange some more rights before they tie each other up and grapple for position. Boogaard gets his right hand free and starts firing away with long rights while Shelley tries to duck away from the punches and throw some lefts of his own. Boogaard gets Shelley turned around and lands four hard body shots just before Shelley throws a right. Boogaard then lands a right cross that stuns Shelley and the two hold on until the linesmen come in.

Prust gives Shelley a few pokes to the back with his stick while the two skate up ice. Shelley turns around and they quickly drop their gloves, grabbing ahold of each other in the process. Prust attempts two uppercuts to start things off while Shelley tries to shake his arm loose. Shelley throws two locked-out rights and then another right that misses the target while Prust ducks down. Prust comes back with a short right and Shelley throws two rights to the back of Prust's head before they fall to the ice, forcing the linesmen to intervene. Other Penalties: Prust received a hooking.

Jay McClement appears to score, but the goal is waved off. Behind the play, Shelley and Walker have dropped the gloves and locked horns. The camera gets there a little late but it shows Walker throwing three overhand rights and a body shot at a bleeding Shelley. The two grapple for a while with Shelley throwing two locked-out rights and they skate up along the boards. Walker throws a couple of shots at Shelley's back, followed up by four overhand rights to the back of Shelley's head while Shelley returns fire with two short rights of his own. They exchange rights once more and Walker pins Shelley up against the glass, holding him there as Shelley gets one more right in just before the linesmen come in.

Right off of the faceoff the two drop the gloves and square off at center ice. They grab ahold of each other and Shelley throws two rights followed by a series of rapid fire jersey-jabs. They go back and forth with rights as they come up next to the benches. Shelley throws a few more jersey-jabs while Peters ducks down. Shelley throws a right that knocks him off-balance, allowing Peters to throw two rights. They each get in a short right and then fall to the ice with Peters throwing a right as they go down. The linesmen then quickly jump on top of them and break things up.

Zenon Konopka falls into Miikka Kiprusoff and the whistle blows to stop play. Away from the crowd, Shelley and Godard find each other and drop the gloves. They square for a short moment and then grab ahold of each other. They start things off by exchanging a couple of rights each. Shelley throws two more rights and an uppercut while Godard tries to get set up. They then go back and forth with rights with each fighter trying to counter the other. Godard gets Shelley bent over and connects with a body shot. Shelley throws a right and Godard loses his balance, going down to his knees for a short moment. Godard gets back to his feet and throws two short rights just before they decide to hold on and wait for the linesmen to come in. Other Penalties: Zenon Konopka received a goaltender interference.

After the whistle blows to stop play Walker and Shelley exchange a few words until they decide to drop the gloves. They each throw a right before grabbing onto each other's jersey. Shelley throws two more rights and they end up wrestling up against the glass. After a short while they get free and go back and forth with a mix of rights and body shots. Shelley throws an overhand right and Walker returns fire with a body shot. Shelley then tries an uppercut inside and they exchange a couple of overhand rights. Walker gets Shelley turned sideways and then connects with two hard body shots, but the linesmen decide to intervene and end the fight.

Shelley takes out Tom Gilbert with a hit near the Edmonton net, prompting Roy to drop his gloves and immediately go after Shelley. They grab ahold of each other and Shelley starts the fight off with a right. Shelley throws two more rights that knock Roy's helmet off. They exchange some rights to the side and back of each other's head. Roy switches hands and throws a left with Shelley coming back in the form of two rights. Shelley then slams Roy to the ice and the linesmen are right there to grab them and end the fight. Other Penalties: Roy received an instigator and misconduct.

They both step out of the penalty box and immediately drop their gloves. Shelley attempts a right that misses just before grabbing ahold of Ivanans. Ivanans shoves Shelley up against the boards and throws a right. Shelley comes back with a right and follows that up with three quick rights, the first one connecting and snapping Ivanans' head back. They then go back and forth with some rights until they lose their balance and fall to the ice. They get back up to their feet, but the linesmen are right there to grab them and end the fight.

Behind the play they drop the gloves near the side boards and grab ahold of each other. They start exchanging simultaneous jersey-jabs and each get in a right as well. King gets in an uppercut and they start throwing jersey-jabs once again. King gets the better of the exchange this time around. Shelley throws a right to the back of King's head while they are grappling in tight. King gets Shelley bent over to the side and throws four short lefts before the linesmen decide to move in and end the fight.
