| Comments: Simpson gets the early start, as he hits Nolan with 2 or 3 lefts. Nolan goes down, but gets right back up. Simpson tries a few more lefts, maybe 3, none of which land cleanly. Nolan comes back with 5 or 6 rights, but they hit mostly helmet. Simpson then throws two more lefts, the first one missing, the second one landed really good, and Nolan went down to the ice. | ||||

| Mar 05, 2002 | 3pd 13:15 | @ SAN | NAS | Cale Hulse |
| Comments: Nolan gets a whack behind the net and goes looking for someone. Hulse drops gloves.Nolan starts throwing rights. He looks to connect with a couple of decent ones to start things. Hulse just tries to keep his head down. Nolan hits Hulse on the back of the helmet with about 3 more. Nolan gets in a tight right that stuns Hulse, then lands a huge power left that draws blood and the refs. | ||||
