| Comments: The Pens are down 4-0 in the 3rd and LaCouture is looking to send a message. LaCouture and Jillson decide to go off the face off. They get the gloves off and grab on. They throw punches at the same time. Jillson's right misses, but LaCouture's left lands solid to Jillson's face. After LaCouture lands his left he gets off-balance and falls. Jillson tries to take advantage and throws two rights. The first hits LaCouture's back and the second hits LaCouture's sternum. Once LaCouture is upright again Jillson throws a weak right that catches LaCouture's sternum again. LaCouture then begins to take over. LaCouture gets Jillson bent over and throws five left uppercuts, but they all hit helmet or chest. LaCouture then tries three straight lefts. The first two hit Jillson's helmet and the third hits Jillson's back. While the third left is being thrown LaCouture gets Jillson's helmet off. Jillson is still bent over when LaCouture throws a right uppercut that might have landed. The punch gets Jillson to stand upright again and he tries a right that hits LaCouture's back. They start to spin a little and LaCouture looks to get the left going again. LaCouture tries five straight lefts, all of them either hitting the top of Jillson's head or his face. While LaCouture is throwing the lefts Jillson attempts a weak left that hits LaCouture's right shoulder. They are now visably tired. Jillson tries to come over the top with a right, but catches nothing but air. They spin a little more and LaCouture tries two more lefts. The first an uppercut that comes up short and the second a straight left that hits the top of Jillson's head. They are ready for the end bell now an the linesmen step in. | ||||

| Comments: Simon gives LaCouture a bump after the whistle blows and says something to LaCouture. You could read LaCouture's lips saying "fuck you" and LaCouture drops his gloves immediately and they go. LaCouture hits 3 or 4 quick shots. Simon then gets one shot in and they hold on and fall down. LaCouture was firing speedy punches, but little strength on them. | ||||

| Comments: Harvey runs Kaspar after the Whistle, Tibbetts comes in with the gloves already off to hug Harvey, I thought they were going to make out. Away from it Lacouture and Bradley are locked up and were warned if they fought they were both gone. Well Lacouture should of listened to the warning and skated away, because they did go and it looked like Bradley landed a good right that put LaCouture down, not sure if it was a tko, Danny looked ok, he was also firing wildly, but Bradley landed a good right after missing a big right. Other Penalties: Todd Harvey received a boarding. | ||||

| Comments: It starts in front of the Ottawa net with Lacouture going hard to the net trying to stir up something. Neil grabbed him and they went. Tied up at first, nothing really landing, they fall to the ice on a miss from Neil. They stand back up and Neil gets the jersey over the head and throws one that puts Lacouture down. | ||||

| Mar 11, 2002 | 2pd 04:02 | @ PIT | CBJ | Lyle Odelein |
| Comments: Starts several seconds after a whistle stops play along the boards. Lots of grabbing and spinning early on. Lacouture starts off and lands with a weak left to the back of Odelein's helmet. He tries again and lands a noogie shot to the helmet. Lyle comes back a with a nice left that jilts Dan's helmet sideways. A really short Lacouture left finds the helmet again. Lyle comes in with a weak left to the helmet. Both guys unload lefts in stereo; Odelein grazes the left eye, Dan lands to the face. And again come the lefts from both; Lyle grazes the face, Lacouture comes up just short. And once again the lefts fly; Odelein lands a slight blow to the nose that appears to stun Dan whose punch loses momentum and fizzles out. Lacouture bends over and was likely finished with that last punch. Lyle adds another left to the back of the helmet. Dan is grabbing on close. That left definitely connected. Spinning. Lyle has a drop of blood on the bridge of his nose. Dan unburies his head from Odelein's chest and attempts a left but it's tied up. Odelein throws a left to the back/shoulder area. Again Lacouture can't uncork the left. Odelein throws, you guessed it, a left and it ain't doing nothing. The momentum carries both guys to the ice and it is over. | ||||
