No square off, late camera. Decently long fight. Simpson landed a few, some grappling and pushing along the boards, a few more by Simpson and some more grappling. Manny's arm was stuck in his sweater and he was unable to get any good punches going.

Simpson was itching to go with somebody. Malhotra gave him a stiff check by the benches and the gloves come off. They grapple briefly with Simpson getting Manny's helmet off. Todd fires a few straight rights with at least one connecting and an uppercut that might have landed (bad angle). Manny never throws a punch and goes for the takedown.

Starts off as a wrestling match, then Simpson throws a few short lefts. They both do the straight-arm tie up and Simpson does a short jab with the hand that holds the jersey. They both start throwing punches. McKay throws the right while Simpson throws the left. Simpson may have landed a couple to the back of McKay's head, but the fight ends when they tie each other up and McKay lands on top of Simpson.

Right off the faceoff after the Kings scored the first goal. The cameras got in a little late, but it looked like both Simpson and Brennan were exchanging rights that were landing a little short. Then Brennan lands a left which knocks Simpson's helmet off. Simpson gets free and throws a left that hits most of Brennan's helmet, followed by another left which drills Brennan and he almost falls over. Brennan gets back up and tries throwing some rights. Simpson responds with a few more lefts and they both fall to the ice. It looked like Brennan landed a right at the end to the back of Simpson's head.

As the play moves up ice, Low skates into the Phoenix end along the near boards and says something to Simpson. Simpson drops the gloves a second before Low, and they are in close and both latch onto each other. Lows looks like he has room to swing the right, and he gets in an uppercut that connects, but Simpson was turning his head, so he may not have caught all of it. Low lands a right to the helmet and then rips the helmet half off. Next right from Low knocks Simpson's helmet off without appearing to do any damage. Then Low connects with a good right to Simpson's Jaw, and at this point Simpson is just hanging on. Simpson gets in tight and Low throws 3 more rights to the back of Simpson's head or neck. Low then switches to the left and hits Simpson in the side of the head. One left uppercut from Low misses, the next lands, or appears to as Simpson's head snaps away. Still nothing from Simpson. One more Low left to the head and 3-4 more that hit chest or jersey. As the linesmen come in and tie up Low, Simpson throws a couple of push-rights that do nothing. Other Penalties: Low received an instigator and misconduct.

Simpson challenges McCarty behind the Wings net and away they go! McCarty misses with a left and Simpson catches him with a good right, followed by another short one. After the second shot, McCarty nails him with a hard left to the jaw and drops Simpson to his knees. No balance issue here, he was cleanly knocked down.

Big scrum on the blue line and Boughner and Simpson come out of it with the gloves off, but look like they are dancing cheek to cheek. Boughner is trying to land some noogies on Simpson's helmet. Boughner gets Simpson's jersey up and almost completely off and they fall. Simpson throws a couple of lefts, one landing, while they are down. Other Penalties: Simpson received a game misconduct.
