| Comments: Less than two minutes into the game Nazzy looks to continue the rivalry going back to the SJ days. They square off and Matt opens up with two rights. Nazzy tucks himself in nice and tight and they exchange noogies on each others helmets. Matt does try switching to his left to catch Naz, but nothing connects. Take down by Naz. | ||||

| Comments: Johnson and Hordichuk meet up and Johnson has a much better showing with a series of rights to Hordichuk. Looked like Hordichuk got some blows in as you could see welts on both as they skated off the ice. | ||||

| Comments: The two drop the gloves and trade punches. Matt Johnson landing the better, then bam! Henry gets blasted and gets sent to the ice. You could tell Moose landed some nice ones by the marks on Henry's face, looked a little bloody. | ||||

| Dec 07, 2002 | 3pd 19:34 | MIN | @ VAN | Murray Baron |
| Comments: Both come together and exchange shoves and wild gloved-punches before the gloves are dropped. Matt opens with a huge right that might have hit the side of Baron's face and helmet. Matt threw about 6 big rights, with a couple looking like they may have connected. Baron throws the last right and misses wildly pulling Johnson down on top of him. | ||||

| Dec 19, 2002 | 1pd 10:54 | @ MIN | NYI | Eric Cairns |
| Comments: Good square off and Matt opens with a right, Cairns seemed to have his right arm hung up in his jersey and elbow pad. Once he freed his arm both continued throwing hard rights. Matt left himself open and Cairns drops him with a solid left to the face. | ||||

| Dec 23, 2002 | 1pd 04:47 | @ MIN | CAL | Craig Berube |
| Comments: Berube and Moose chat for a few seconds and they finally drop. Chief throws three, maybe four punches but they were weak and poorly aimed because they looked like they were aimed at JOhnson's shoulder. Then Berube slipped to a knee, and to JOhnson's credit he held off throwing. Berube thought he was going to get clocked, as he started to cover. | ||||

| Jan 02, 2003 | 1pd 16:08 | MIN | @ EDM | Georges Laraque |
| Comments: Johnson finishes his check on Marchant. A good, clean hard check which Laraque didn't take too kindly to. They drop the gloves and immediately start grappling. Laraque gets the helmet off of Matt's head. More grappling. Johnson tries a left, comes up short. Laraque lands a good jab and Johnson ends up on the ice (lost his balance). | ||||

| Comments: Johnson went to hit Laraque, but Laraque got the arm up to protect himself, may have got the elbow up. Johnson didn't like that, so he took a run at Laraque and nailed him with a good hit which took both guys down. Johnson gets up first and stares at Laraque. Off come the gloves. In-tight grappling between the two. Johnson loses his balance and Laraque goes down on top. | ||||

| Feb 10, 2003 | 1pd 02:48 | MIN | @ PHI | Todd Fedoruk |
| Comments: Fedoruk drops his gloves. Johnson then drops his and Fedoruk gets an early punch off for the one-punch TKO. | ||||

| Mar 01, 2003 | 1pd 02:17 | MIN | @ STL | Reed Low |
| Comments: Johnson seemed to be skating off to the bench when Low pushes him from behind and drops the gloves. Johnson turns around and Low locks him up while Johnson is still taking his gloves off. After that they grapple for a long time with Low sneaking in two weak uppercuts, which barely connect, while Johnson throws a weak right which might have connected. They grapple some more and Johnson looks like he tries to change hands and Low pushes him off his skates and gets the takedown. | ||||

| Mar 15, 2003 | 1pd 13:09 | MIN | @ CBJ | Jody Shelley |
| Comments: On first viewing it looked to be all Johnson. They both went to the ice early and recover. Johnson comes up throwing, which keeps Jody a bit off-balance. Johnson lands at least 5 heavy rights to the head/helmet before they both go to the ice. However, many who attended say Shelley got in a hard punch that dropped Johnson quickly before the camera was able to get to the fight, so it may have been more even then most saw. | ||||

| Comments: Not much of a fight. Johnson wanted to get throwing, but they were so off-balance that all they could really do was fall. | ||||
