Comments: Antero Niittymaki makes the save on a diving Drew Stafford shot and behind the play, Richards has challenged Paetsch and the two have dropped the gloves. They grab ahold of each other and Richards throws four overhand rights to the back of Paetsch's head with Paetsch returning fire in the form of a right as well. Richards connects with an uppercut followed by three more rights and Paetsch throws a short right before he falls to the ice. Richards gets in another right while he is down, but the linesmen are there to quickly grab the two.

Comments: Mezei drills Paetsch into the boards, sending Paetsch down to the ice for a short moment. Paetsch stands back up and shoves Mezei twice before the two drop the gloves and tie up. They exchange rights and Paetsch goes down to his knees for a second. Mezei throws two uppercuts while Paetsch is getting back up. They exchange rights again and Mezei is able to connect with his punch, following with two more rights after that. They lose their balance and fall to the ice with Paetsch throwing two overhand rights just as the linesmen are coming in. Other Penalties: Paetsch received an instigator and misconduct.
