| Comments: By this time, the game had been decided, so the Hawks have had it. As Chicago is breaking out, Kovalchuk holds up Bell by grabbing his stick. Bell slashes Kovalchuk, who tries to skate to the bench. Bell takes after him, spearing him in the chest, and following that up with a pretty good crosscheck to the head. Not surprisingly, everyone jumps into the fray. Cowan grabs a hold of Calder and throws two short punches with the left hand. Bell sees this and tries to save Calder, but a linesman has a hold of Bell, who's livid. Another Hawk, Vorobiev, tries to save Calder, but Randy Robitaille grabs him. Luckily, Cowan shows some restraint against Calder, and stops throwing, allowing the linesmen to jump in. During all this, Exelby drops his gloves and goes after Ruutuu and starts throwing left hands. Ruutuu seems to want no part of it, and tries to tie up Exelby. As the linesmen are breaking up Cowan and Calder, Ruutuu manages to throw some weak right hands at Exelby before falling to the ice. | ||||

| Nov 07, 2003 | 2pd 17:41 | ATL | @ CBJ | Kent McDonell |
| Comments: Starts from another scrum. Good little slugfest here. Cowan lands early with a left. Some wrestling and short punches before McDonnell comes back with a hard right on Cowan. Good back and forth, with at least one flush bomb landed by Cowan. McDonnell asks for it to end and the linesmen come in. Other Penalties: Cowan and McDonnell each received a misconduct; Chris Tamer and Tyler Wright each received a roughing; Jody Shelley a hooking. | ||||

| Comments: Cowan has some words for Kvasha, who was given a goaltender interference penalty for knocking over Nurminen. Cairns comes in to say hello and it's broken up. It's now 3 on 3 and these two are still out there for the faceoff, so you know it's coming. The puck drops, and they squareoff. It looks even, some ok shots by both. Cowan gets in a couple of shots as Cairns also lands some ok ones. Cairns is trying to get his right hand out of his sleeve. He does, and throws two uppercuts. Cowan's already bent over, and it appears the uppercuts landed on the top of Cowan's head, and Cowan goes down. | ||||

| Feb 11, 2004 | 3pd 18:11 | ATL | @ EDM | Jason Chimera |
| Comments: Cowan and Chimera push and shove before skating further down ice. Georges Laraque skates in and tries to push Cowan away with his stick, but Ivan Majesky takes a run at Chimera. Laraque shoves Majesky and Cowan and Chimera take a step back before spotting each other and dropping the gloves. They grab ahold of each other, but Chimera quickly goes down to his knees once everyone on the ice begins to pile in. Cowan and Chimera wrestle around down on the ice, but are eventually separated by the linesmen. | ||||

| Mar 14, 2004 | 3pd 19:28 | @ LOS | ANA | Lance Ward |
| Comments: This fight started when Cowan finished a check in the Ducks zone with the game already in hand. Ward skated after him and asked him to go and they drop the gloves. Ward throws some rights, nothing looked to land, and Cowan starts throwing lefts, with one connecting on Ward, so Ward holds on and Cowan throws a few more lefts to end the fight. | ||||

| Mar 24, 2004 | 1pd 18:33 | LOS | @ VAN | Brad May |
| Comments: May is running around crushing Kings. Cowan responds and takes a run at Canuck rookie Ryan Kesler. May comes right after Cowan and they sqaure off behind the play. They come together and start chucking em. Cowan lands a good one early, May misses with some haymakers, and Cowan throws a few of his own. May comes on and lands some big time haymakers at the end, it looked like one good shot helped Cowan go off-balance. | ||||

| Mar 26, 2004 | 1pd 05:01 | LOS | @ EDM | Scott Ferguson |
| Comments: It starts with Ferguson giving Cowan a slash. Cowan turns around and jaws at Ferguson. Ferguson waits no time is shedding the gloves. Ferguson starts with rights and Cowan with lefts. Cowan seems to be landing and Ferguson are missing high. Cowan then seems to right him self and lands a couple of nice lefts knocking Ferguson off-balance and taking him down. | ||||

| Mar 27, 2004 | 1pd 14:37 | LOS | @ CAL | Chris Simon |
| Comments: They meet by the benches as Simon steps in for a teammate. Simon pulls the helmet off right at the beginning. Cowan tries a left, but Simon grazes a left along the back of his head. Another attempt falls short. Cowan is hunched over now and Simon lands five lefts to the back of the head and Cowan looked like he threw a few as well. Simon tries an uppercut. Cowan straightens up and throws a left. Simon lands two decent lefts. Cowan misses a left, loses his balance, and falls over. Other Penalties: Cowan received a charging. | ||||
