Canucks Recall Forward Jannik Hansen

Vancouver, B.C. - Vancouver Canucks Senior Vice-President and General Manager Dave Nonis announced today that the Canucks have called-up forward Jannik Hansen on an emergency recall from the Manitoba Moose of the AHL.
Hansen, 22, has played 45 games for the Moose over the 2007-08 season and recorded 18 goals, 21 assists (18-21-39) and 20 penalty minutes. In five games with Vancouver this season Hansen has averaged 11:33 of time on ice per game and recorded two penalty minutes. The 6’0”, 194 lbs. left wing was Vancouver’s 7th choice, 287th overall, in the 2004 Entry Draft.
The Herlev, Denmark native appeared in 10 playoff games with the Canucks last season recording one assist and four penalty minutes. In 72 games with the Moose in 2006-07, Hansen recorded 34 points (12-22-34) and 38 penalty minutes.
