Canucks Reassign Nathan McIver to Manitoba

Vancouver, B.C. - Vancouver Canucks Senior Vice President and General Manager Dave Nonis announced today that defenceman Nathan McIver has been re-assigned to the Manitoba Moose of the AHL.
McIver, 23, has split the 2007-08 season between the Manitoba Moose and Vancouver Canucks. He recorded 36 penalty minutes in 11 games with the Canucks and four points (2-2-4) and 74 penalty minutes in 31 games with the Moose.
McIver, made his NHL debut during the 2006-07 season, playing one game with the Canucks. The 6-foot-2, 205 lbs. native of Summerside, Prince Edward Island played 63 games with the Moose last season, recording 139 penalty minutes.
McIver was originally drafted by Vancouver 254th overall in the 2003 NHL Entry Draft.
