Blue Jackets Activate Fedorov off IR; Assign Lindstrom to Syracuse

COLUMBUS, OHIO – The Columbus Blue Jackets have activated center Sergei Fedorov off injured reserve and assigned left wing Joakim Lindstrom to the Syracuse Crunch, Columbus’ American Hockey League affiliate, club General Manager Scott Howson announced today. Fedorov is expected to return to the lineup tonight when the Blue Jackets visit the St. Louis Blues at Scottrade Center.
Fedorov has tallied eight goals and 19 assists for 27 points with 28 penalty minutes in 46 games this season. He missed the past 13 games due to a concussion suffered Jan. 17 at Phoenix. The former Hart Memorial Trophy winner and two-time Selke Award winner has registered 469-663-1,132 and 779 penalty minutes in 1,174 career NHL games.
Lindstrom, 24, has appeared in 14 games and 2-4-6 with 10 penalty minutes with the Blue Jackets this season. Columbus’ second pick, 41st overall, in the 2002 Entry Draft has registered 3-4-7 and 14 penalty minutes in 26 career NHL games. He leads Syracuse in scoring this season with 20-27-47 and 54 penalty minutes in 38 games and has registered 60-86-146 and 140 penalty minutes in 165 career AHL games.
