Canucks Recall Rick Rypien; Re-Assign Raymond

Vancouver, B.C. - Vancouver Canucks Senior Vice President and General Manager Dave Nonis announced today that forward Rick Rypien has been recalled, and Mason Raymond has be re-assigned to the Manitoba Moose of the AHL.

Rypien, 23, has recorded eight points (1-7-8) and 33 penalty minutes in 15 games with the Moose this season. In seven games with the Canucks so far this season, Rypien has scored two points (1-1-2) and recorded 18 penalty minutes.

The 5’11”, 184 lbs. native of Coleman, Alberta was signed by Vancouver as a free agent on November 9, 2005.

Raymond, 22, has played 23 games with the Canucks recording 10 points (3-7-10). In 17 games played for the Moose this season, Raymond has 14 points (6-8-14) and two penalty minutes.
