Thrashers Recall Colin Stuart From Chicago

The Atlanta Thrashers have recalled forward Colin Stuart from the Chicago Wolves of the American Hockey League, according to Executive Vice President, General Manager and Head Coach Don Waddell.

Stuart, 25, has recorded six points (three goals, three assists), with a plus-one rating and 18 penalty minutes in 29 games this season with the Wolves. He tallied a season-high two points (one goal, one assist) on Oct. 21 at Peoria and recorded points in back-to-back games from Dec. 8-13, registering two points (one goal, one assist) in that span.

The 6-2, 205-pound left wing set AHL career highs with 18 goals and 29 points in 67 games last season with Chicago. He was tied for third on the Wolves and 17th in the AHL with three shorthanded goals and tied for third on the team with a career-best four game-winning goals. The Rochester, Minn. native added seven points (two goals, five assists) in 15 Calder Cup Playoff games.

Prior to his professional career, Stuart appeared in 156 games over four seasons at Colorado College, tallying 77 points (38 goals, 39 assists) in that time.

Stuart was drafted by the Thrashers in the fifth round, 135th overall, of the 2001 NHL Entry Draft.
