Coyotes Assign Meyer to San Antonio

GLENDALE, ARIZONA - Phoenix Coyotes General Manager Don Maloney announced today that the Coyotes have assigned defenseman Freddy Meyer to the San Antonio Rampage, the Coyotes’ American Hockey League (AHL) affiliate.
Meyer, 26, has played in five games for the Coyotes since being acquired by the team on Oct. 8. He has not figured in scoring. The Coyotes acquired the Wolfeboro, New Hampshire native by claiming him off waivers from the New York Islanders.
For his NHL career, Meyer has collected 8 goals, 27 assists and35 points as well as 71 penalty minutes in 123 career games with the Philadelphia Flyers, the Islanders and the Coyotes.
