IHL Announces Dispersal Draft
Monday, Jun. 25th, 2007
ROCHESTER, MI - The International Hockey League (IHL) announced today that it will hold a dispersal draft on Wednesday, June 27 at 12:00 p.m. (EDT). The draft will be conducted to disperse players from the 2006-07 final rosters of the Chicago Hounds, Elmira Jackals, Quad City Mallards and Rockford IceHogs. Those four Member Clubs will not participate in the 2007-08 IHL season.
The order in which current Member Clubs will select players is based on their winning percentage in the final standings of the 2006-07 season, with lowest-ranked teams choosing first. By choosing a player in the dispersal draft, IHL teams will have the rights to the selected player for the 2007-08 season. The draft will conclude once every team has passed in a given round or until there are no more players to draft.
The draft order for each round of the IHL Dispersal Draft is:
1. Bloomington
2. Port Huron
3. Flint
4. Kalamazoo
5. Muskegon
6. Fort Wayne
All times are GMT -4. The time now is 05:18 AM.
