Penguins Sign Right Winger Tim Wallace

Executive Vice President and General Manager Ray Shero announced that the club has signed undrafted right wing Tim Wallace to a two-year NHL Entry Level Contract.

Wallace, 22, played his first professional season in 2006-07 splitting time between the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins (AHL) and the Wheeling Nailers (ECHL). In 32 games with Wilkes-Barre/Scranton, he collected 14 points (5+9) and registered a plus-five rating. Wallace scored 17 points (6+11) in 19 games with Wheeling before completing the season in the AHL.

The 6-1, 205-pound native of Anchorage, Alaska tallied two points (1+1) in 11 playoff games with Wilkes-Barre/Scranton. He played collegiate hockey at Notre Dame scoring 59 points (25+34) over four seasons. Wallace never missed a game during his Notre Dame career competing in 153 consecutive games to set a Notre Dame record.
