Rockford and Kalamazoo to Meet In UHL Colonial Cup Finals

LAKE ST. LOUIS, MO - Nick Bootland’s goal with 19 seconds remaining in the third period lifted the Kalamazoo Wings to a 3-2 Game 7 victory over the Muskegon Fury on Wednesday night. With the win, the K-Wings won the playoff series four games to three and earned a trip to the United Hockey League’s (UHL) Colonial Cup Finals. Kalamazoo, the defending Colonial Cup Champions, will face the Rockford IceHogs, who defeated the Fort Wayne Komets four games to one, in the Finals in a best-of-seven series. The IceHogs will have home-ice advantage in the series.

Game 1 of the Finals will be played on Friday, May 11, at Rockford. A complete Finals schedule will be released tomorrow.
