Ducks Sign Ryan Dingle to a Two-Year Entry-Level Contract

ANAHEIM, Calif. – The Anaheim Ducks announced today that the National Hockey League (NHL) club has signed center Ryan Dingle to a two-year entry level contract. Dingle will report directly to Portland, Anaheim’s primary development affiliate in the American Hockey League (AHL).
Dingle, 22, (4/4/84), just completed his junior season at Denver University in the Western Collegiate Hockey Association (WCHA), where he scored 22-15=37 points in 40 games. The 5-10, 190-pounder led the Pioneers in goals, power play goals (9), shorthanded goals (2) and game-winning goals (4) while finishing second in overall points.
On March 15, Dingle was named to the All-WCHA Third Team for the second consecutive season. As a freshman, Dingle helped Denver to the 2005 NCAA National Championship. In his sophomore season, he was first on the team in goal scoring (27) and third in points (43). His 27 goals were T-6th in the NCAA and the most by a Denver player since 1989-90.
In 121 games at Denver, the Steamboat Springs, Colo. native scored 55-43=98 points. Dingle is third on Denver’s all-time list for career shorthanded goals (6) and career game-winning goals (14).
