Blue Jackets Add Adam Pineault to Roster on Emergency Recall

COLUMBUS, OHIO - The Columbus Blue Jackets have recalled forward Adam Pineault from the Syracuse Crunch, the club's American Hockey League affiliate, Columbus President and General Manager Doug MacLean announced today. Pineault, who will wear No. 41, is expected to join the Blue Jackets in time for tonight's game against the Dallas Stars at American Airlines Center.
Pineault, 20, has appeared in 55 games with Syracuse during his rookie professional season. He has registered 12 goals and 15 assists for 27 points, added 64 penalty minutes and has a +2 plus/minus rating.
Columbus' second pick, 46th overall, in the 2004 Entry Draft, Pineault played one season of college hockey at Boston College in 2003-04 before spending two seasons with the Moncton Wildcats of the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League. In 116 career games, he tallied 55-50-105, 158 penalty minutes and a cumulative plus/minus rating of +42. In 2005-06, he collected a career-high 29-30-59, 94 penalty minutes and was +30 in 55 games and helped Moncton capture the QMJHL championship with a 52-16-2 record and earn a berth in the Memorial Cup Tournament.
