Blues Recall D.J. King; Place Dan Hinote on IR

St. Louis Blues President John Davidson announced today the club has placed forward Dan Hinote on injured reserve. The team also announced it has recalled forward D.J. King from the Blues’ American Hockey League affiliate, the Peoria Rivermen.
Hinote, 29, suffered an upper body injury in Saturday’s game against Los Angeles. He has skated in 41 games for the Blues this season, collecting 10 points (five goals, five assists).
King, 22, made his NHL debut with the Blues this season on Oct. 5 at San Jose. He has played in seven games and registered nine penalty minutes. King has skated in 31 games with Peoria, recording five points (three goals, two assists) along with a team-high 91 penalty minutes.
The Meadow Lake, Saskatchewan native was originally the Blues sixth-round selection, 190th overall in the 2002 NHL Entry Draft.
