Coyotes Activate Boynton and Fischer From IR

GLENDALE, ARIZONA - Phoenix Coyotes General Manager Michael Barnett announced today that the Coyotes have activated defenseman Nick Boynton and center Patrick Fischer from the injured reserve list.

Boynton has missed the past 20 games with a fractured foot. The Nobleton, Ontario native originally suffered his injury on Nov. 9 versus the Dallas Stars when he blocked a shot. Boynton, who turns 28 tomorrow, has collected 2 assists and 72 penalty minutes (PIM) in 20 games played this season.

Fischer, 31, has missed the last 13 games with a groin injury. A native of Zug, Switzerland, Fischer has registered 4-5-9 and 12 PIM in 20 games this season.
