Flames Sign Ference to Three-Year Extension

Calgary, AB - Calgary Flames General Manager Darryl Sutter announced today the signing of defenseman Andrew Ference to a three year contract extension.
Ference registered career highs in assists (27), points (31), and games played (82) during the 2005-06 season. Ference appeared in all seven playoff games vs. Anaheim posting four assists.
In 333 NHL regular season games, the Edmonton, AB native has posted 87 points (19 goals, 68 assists) and 301 penalty minutes.
The Flames acquired Andrew Ference from the Pittsburgh Penguins on February 10, 2003 in exchange for a 3rd round pick in the 2004 NHL Entry Draft.
