Canadiens Reassign Eight Players

MONTREAL - Montreal Canadiens General Manager, Bob Gainey announced today that seven (7) players have been assigned to the Hamilton Bulldogs of the American Hockey League. The Club also returned goaltender Carey Price to the Tri-City Americans of the Western Hockey League.
Twenty-nine (29) players are still at training camp, including four injured players (Francis Bouillon, Jean-Philippe Côté, Mikhail Grabovski, Sheldon Souray).
The seven players who will report to Hamilton are; goaltender Yann Danis, forwards Maxim Lapierre, Jonathan Ferland, Corey Locke, Ajay Baines and Kyle Chipchura, as well as defenseman Danny Groulx. The Bulldogs opened their training camp on September 23 in Hamilton.
