Lightning Recall Ramo, Jones From Springfield; Reassign Burke And Rogers

The Tampa Bay Lightning recalled goaltender Karri Ramo and center Blair Jones from Springfield of the American Hockey League today, Executive Vice President and General Manager Jay Feaster announced. In addition, the Lightning have reassigned goaltender Sean Burke and defenseman Andy Rogers to the Falcons, the camp roster remains at 29.

Ramo, a 6-foot-2, 215-pound native of Asikkala, Finland posted a 3-0 record and a .841 save percentage during training camp scrimmages. He is expected to back-up Johan Holmqvist during tonight’s game at the Montreal Canadiens.

Jones, 6-3, 210-pounds, has played in one game during the 2006 preseason and logged 9:29 of ice time while landing two hits and blocking two shots. The first-year pro played in four preseason scrimmage games and recorded two assists.
