Klesla Suspended Two Games

TORONTO -- Columbus Blue Jackets defenseman Rostislav Klesla has been suspended for the first two games of the regular season for a low hit on Chicago Blackhawks player Tuomo Ruutu during pre-season game #39, September 22.
Under the terms of the Collective Bargaining Agreement, and based on his average annual salary, Klesla will forfeit $17,112.30. The money goes to the Players' Emergency Assistance Fund.
Klesla was assessed a major penalty for clipping at 12:30 of the third period.
He will miss games against Vancouver on October 6 and at Chicago on October 7.
