Canucks Re-Sign Lee Goren

Vancouver, B.C. – Vancouver Canucks Senior Vice-President and General Manager Dave Nonis announced today that the Canucks have re-signed right winger Lee Goren.
Goren, 28, split the 2005-06 season between the Canucks and the Manitoba Moose, playing 28 games with Vancouver, tallying three points (1-2-3) and 30 penalty minutes. In 42 games with Manitoba last season, Goren scored 22 goals, 19 assists (22-19-41) and had 84 penalty minutes. Goren has played a total of 65 career NHL games recording nine points (5-4-9) and 44 penalty minutes.
The 6’2”, 210 lbs., native of Winnipeg, Manitoba was originally drafted by the Boston Bruins, 63rd overall in the 1997 NHL Entry Draft. Goren played with two NHL teams, the Boston Bruins and Florida Panthers, before being acquired by Vancouver as a free agent on July 7, 2004.
