Panthers Agree to Terms With Gregory Campbell

SUNRISE, Fla. - Florida Panthers General Manager Mike Keenan announced today that the club has agreed to terms on a two-year deal with LW Gregory Campbell.
Campbell, 22, was drafted by Florida with their fourth choice (67th overall) in the 2002 NHL Entry Draft. Last year, during his rookie campaign in the National Hockey League he played in 64 games, scoring three goals with six assists along with 40 penalty minutes.
“Gregory is a hard working player who performed very well during his rookie season in the NHL,” said Keenan, “We look forward to his continued contributions to our club next season.”
The London, Ontario, native was originally called up from the American Hockey League’s Rochester Americans on Oct. 17, 2005 before begin reassigned on Oct. 21. Campbell was again recalled on Nov. 8 and remained with the club for the remainder of the season. He scored his first NHL goal Nov. 15 at Montreal.
