Flames Sign Forward Chuck Kobasew

Calgary, AB - Calgary Flames General Manager and Head Coach Darryl Sutter announced today the signing of forward Chuck Kobasew.
Chuck Kobasew scored 31 points during the 2005-06 season with the Flames on 20 goals and 11 assists. Kobasew was one of five Flames players to score 20 goals this past season including his first NHL career hat trick on January 24th at Colorado. Kobasew appeared in all seven playoff games vs. Anaheim scoring his first NHL career playoff goal.
In 170 NHL regular season games, the British Columbia native has posted 54 points (30 goals, 24 assists) and 123 penalty minutes. The Flames drafted Kobasew in the first round, 14th overall, in the 2001 Entry Draft.
