Capitals Sign Chris Clark to Contract Extension

Washington, D.C. – The Washington Capitals have re-signed forward Chris Clark to a two-year contract extension, vice president and general manager George McPhee announced today.

Clark has played in 50 games this season and is tied for third on the team with 11 goals and tied for fourth with 23 points. He leads the team with a plus-4 rating and is second on the team with 74 penalty minutes. Clark has four multiple-point games, including two back-to-back games with a goal and an assist. He enjoyed his best month of the season in January with nine points (three goals, six assists). The Capitals acquired Clark from Calgary for a conditional draft choice, Aug. 4, 2005.
